You apparently are treating him like a pro bowl caliber QB or you wouldnt be arguing with me. Ive been watching both all offseason and seen both live more than a couple times. If you think Fitz is better than Geno, youre nuts. Geno is much better than him and gives this team a much better chance to win. Im done arguing with you. believe what you want.

    Who gives a shit?

Why get so worked up about a guy that has no choice right now but ride the pine due to injury.

Fitz looked good and performed the way we need him to perform if we are to win these games.

He is our starter right now, put your biased bullshit away, get behind him and worry about the extra when it is relevant.

Right now, it doesn't matter, Geno isnt playing anytime soon.

Why even bother arguing it or getting worked up because people are pleased with Fitz?

    Makes zero sense.

geno isnt "much better" then anyone. at least not anyone in the pros. he is an awful bottom 5 qb. fitz is not very good. but he also isnt terrible. its not hard ot be better then geno, cause it doesnt get much worse then geno. fitz did what we needed. made some third down throws. got us TDs in the redzone.

we won because the D forced turnovers and ivory was a beast. but fitz not throwing up all over himself certainly didnt hurt

The funny thing about this thread is that back when Fitz was a Buffalo Bill I expected us to intercept the ball almost every play when he played us.

I agree with that but at the same time the other qbs that have been around here would have made those mistakes plus one or two more trying toforce something that would have costed us

If we had a qb, we'd be a super bowl contender this season. We have a very talented roster.

If I remember correctly Stephen hill went on to a HoF career and tore up the league as an elite NFL receiver, right? Now can someone please pass me the bong before I come down from my high?

You weren't worried about Kellen Clemens throwing Ints? Ok. *rolls eyes*

I forgot about Clemens throwing chainsaws all over the field. I'm not sure anyone was ever "worried" about anyone catching anything he threw.

have you been watching an alternate universe version of jets games the last two years? Geno isn't "much better" than any nfl qb. trash.

No he def is, and it amazing there refusal on here to acknowledge that. I know everybody is riding high now be he's very limited. You will see it against a better team.

By what measure is Geno Smith better than any NFL QB? He has better physical attributes than Fitzpatrick but that's where it ends.

Fitz play recognition isn't any better. He didn't make any difficult reads yesterday. He hasn't all summer. So yeah the physical is a big difference.

Like I said everyone is just riding high on him now against a bad team and a bad coach. Hes not an answer to anything and he will not be our starting qb by the end of the season.

My opinion on Geno vs. Fitz (or any NFL QB) has zero to do with yesterdays game. Geno has never shown the ability to function at a high level, or even an acceptable level in the NFL when the games matter. He did OK when the season was a lost cause but who gives a shit about that?

We should re-sign IK when Geno heals.

He played fine the beginning of last season as well. It's no coincidence when decker was hurt and Kerley was lame his numbers were down. It's funny how you're ignoring that as well. He woulda led us to victory in gb is the def played better. He didn't get torched by Jordy Nelson twice.

I was never nervous about Pennington throwing an INT. It's rare to see a defensive lineman intercept a four-yard pass.

They were the eighth ranked defense against the pass last season not exactly as terrible as you are trying to make them.
