The Titans were 2-14 last year. Just slightly better than the bucks. These numbers are impressive for a rookie no matter how crappy the opposition.
The Titans being 2-14 last year has no bearing on how bad Tampas defense is. Yes, numbers are pretty, but he's playing an absolute garbage defense and arguably the worst team in the league

Yes, the Titans were 2- 14 and the Jets were 4-12. That's close. Whatever, on draft day I had my fingers crossed hoping the projections were right and Mariota would fall to #6. I was very disappointed when the Titans scooped him up. I'll say it now, Mariota (if he doesn't get hurt) will be a super star. But knowing the Jets they probably wouldn't have picked him at #6 anyway.
We were highly interested in Mariota. Were one of three teams that spent the most time with him, pre-draft. We should have offered the farm for the kid but who knows if TN would have even taken it.
He looked good based on the highlights but I am also glad we didn't give the farm to get him. We ended up Leonard Williams and we might still luck out with Petty. Time will tell.
Eh. On one hand we were really close to getting Mariota. On the other, what if we had ended up with Jameis instead? That would have been a nightmare. In the end I think Mariota will be good, not superstar. I don't think you RG3 trade for good.

For what its worth, Winston looks fantastic as well. Both look to be legitimate stars in the making. Lets hope Mariota takes a short break from being awesome.
