Friend of mine knew Mike Kensil, he used to work with him at the Jets for many years. Basically, they cut Eric out of the loop on this to 'insulate' him from any fallout. They knew he had warned the Pats and Belichik so if they (Eric's bosses) went alot further with the NFL, too bad. The Pats/Belichik got their warning and decided to say "FU." Belichik hates the Jets, we know. Guess what ? Woody Johnson considers him a sellout and even if Mangini had told him NOT to involve NFL Security, he was going to. Belichik ran out on the team, lied about it, secretly negotiated with the Pats, and caused a ton of confusion for them. And he wanted a 2nd or 3rd or 4th chance to get it right on the cheating ??? LOL Tannenbaum and Woody were the ones behind it. Kensil and others were backing them 100%.
I've wanted that for 7 years, now with the latest injustice to the game, it should happen. With Goodell being outted finally with the coverups, it's time to wipe NE's slate clean, remove the titles, remove Goodell and restore some normalcy

It is not suprising they would cut Mangini out of it. Nice to see it confirmed. Having read the ESPN and SI stories, the one thing that sticks out to me is Woody doing this without consulting anyone. Woody basically needs to hire advisors to find a GM. I wouldnt be suprised if as a new owner woody reached out to other owners like Mara for advice before outing the Pats. The other owners were probably sick of the nonsense too, and expected a big punishment.
