Perhaps this doesn't deserve its own thread, but will Leonard Williams switch to a new Jersey number now that there are some in the 90's and 70's available? 70-Dozier 71-Ijalana 72-Bowen 73-I think they've been reserving this to retire Klecko's jersey 74-Mangold 75-Aboushi 76-Available 77-Carpenter 78-Douzable 79-Qvale 90-Retired: Byrd 91-Richardson 92-Available 93-Available 94-Harrison 95-Available 96-Wilkerson 97-Pace 98-Coples 99-Barnes 76, 93, and 95 came from cutting Wes Johnson, Babin, and Ronald Talley, while 92 is with Vickerson on IR. My guess is they won't use 76 since Johnson is on the practice squad, so what do you think his number will be?
Didn't see it in the other thread, but Leonard Williams said that himself and a beat writer tweeted it.
Well in terms of the Jets to me Shaun Ellis is the original Big Cat. However you are right Ladd was named the Big Cat
I could honestly care less what number is on the back of his jersey,I just hope he makes a massive impact for us early on
It's an illegal number for a defensive lineman in the NFL I'm pretty sure. He'd have to get special permission from the league I believe, so he'd have to be pretty attached to it.
I was just looking at his Wikipedia page, and it's disgusting to see that 1 year with the Patriots. It is a little surprising he never signed a 1 day contract.
There were salty feelings on both sides.. he wanted that last payday, JETS were (supposedly) trimming fat. H ego tpissed , signed with the Pats and was garbage... Then the salt hardened
When I think about jets playing 1 disgusting year with the Patriots, I think of one name only. It's five letters, and it ends with I-S. But it's not Ellis.
