This is an interesting question and topic. I have always liked RGIII and thought he was a good pick by the Redskins. They gave up a lot, but he instantly delivered by winning the NFC East. 2013 he was hurt, 2014 Gruden came in and instantly hated him. So his path is similar to former Jet, Mark Sanchez. Early success, but team and fans have no patience at all with a young QB. Not to mention the team around RGIII (especially his O-line) has been a disaster the last couple seasons. He came back too soon from his injury to start in 2013 too. He definitely needs a change of scenary, and is worth trading for, but not right now. After the 2015 season he surely will be changing locations. The Jets may even be able to just sign him off the street. If so, I would take a chance. QB's can be ruined though. I hope he hasn't been yet.
Not in a million years. The geno smith project on steroids. With El Nacho Loco, this is a 10 win playoff team right now. Thanks to Idzik we are now left to praying that the Amish Pop Gun can get us there. Getting RG3 would be 2 or 3 lost years waiting for that ephemeral lightning in a bottle moment. While your defense gets old.
So, per a blurb from sportsline that just came across the coaches want to cut rg3 and snyder is resisting it.
Why trade a 2nd and a 3rd when you can trade 7 1st rounders for him? Let's trade those 7 1st rounders, it isn't any more stupid a suggestion if we are proposing trading picks it wouldn't even take to acquire him.
Haven't we had enough Pi...Poor QB's . No way I want another Running QB. Especially this one who doesn't seem to fit in the locker room with his teammates.
If he had a track record of being more durable then I would go for it with out question. However if that was the case we probably wouldn't be discussing it as a possibility.
Current QBs: Ryan Fitzpatrick (Coming off Broken Leg) Matt Flynn (Hamstring) Geno Smith (SuckerPunch) Bryce Petty (Healthy, but rookie 4th rounder) JJ (will be cut) and you want to trade for... RG3 (Broken Everything, All the time.) HUH?????!?? How many injured project QBs do you want to fit on the roster?
Trade for a loser and have to pay him $16.5M too? Plus they would want some outrageous compensation so they don't look bad. RG3 was the worst draft pick ever!
I say yes. Sometimes a person needs a new setting. He'd be better than what we currently have by a mile. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
