I believe Bowles will play whoever is performing the best. I also believe that Williams is the second best CB on the team. Hopefully Bowles can learn from the mistakes of Rex and not feel obligated to leave a guy in just because It's "his guy".
Not sure about Bowles but Maccagnan likes Kerley. From an April report: • Could any young guys get more reps? The Jets have several players ostensibly waiting in the wings for more playing time, but when asked directly about that, Maccagnan gave an interesting answer (even as he pointed out the offseason program doesn't begin until Monday): He likes wideout Jeremy Kerley, whom he scouted in college at TCU when Maccagnan worked for the Texans. "I'm kind of excited to see him in terms of maybe getting a few more reps than he got last year." Kerley played 752 snaps last season (second only to Eric Decker among Jets receivers), but he was only targeted 64 times, per Pro Football Focus.
Cro never practices hard, that's all it is. During the season he'll be more motivated and play better. He's been like that his whole career but it gets worse the more he's been in the league.
