He is the Jets Starting QB now. Fans, it is time to get behind him. Can he lead the Jets to the playoffs? Time will tell. My hope is that he is playing so well that whenever Geno is healthy, he will remain on the bench. What do you guys think of #14? He did well with Gailey in Buffalo. He got a huge extension out of it. He did not back it up though.
I think he's one of the best people in football. He may be the leader the Jets need right now. He played really well last year before he got hurt, and if I'm not mistaken, he led Harvard to an undefeated season!
I think with Gailey we have a really good shot with Fitzpatrick. If it was any other coordinator I'd be saying something else. Lets hope his 18/12 last year carries over into this year and he does great! LETS GO FITZMAGIC
Two ways you can look at this delima 18/12 may be good enough to get you into the playoffs if the pats struggle without brady 19/12 may take us out of contention for connor cook. Whatever floats your boats I guess.
As long as he is healthy and can get protection from our OLine, I think we will be good. Honest thought there. Look at his spread from last season. He was good when healthy
Juding by today's practice were fucked but that would be jumping the gun since he hasn't had a lot of time with the ones
With Geno Smith emerging, we went from a team with serious SB aspirations to one hoping to maybe slip into the playoffs. Mediocrity awaits. Might as well put in Petty or Heaps now, and hope for the next Kurt Warner.
Yeah, I pointed out a couple weeks ago that he was ranked #9 in the NFL with QB Rating in 2014. If he can play close to that, stay healthy, and have a solid D behind him, the Jets can make a playoff push.
I think the way he played last year and the way this team is built this year...Playoffs are a strong possibility and lets try to make a Run! If your already looking at drafting a QB in AUGUST holy shit dude you have a long season to sit through why even be a fan. I don't think this season is lost at all. Fitz can game and Gailey can scheme lets see how it plays out
Fitz'z stats are skewed from one ridiculous game against the Titans - like 400 yeards and 6 tds. He is below average. Has always been his entire career. He will be absolute dog shit for us, but maybe we will win some games 10-6.
He's a below average QB with way below average talent and arm strength/accuracy. He's smart though. Too bad they play football on sundays at Metlife and not chemistry experiments. The fitzpatrick ride is the game you play where you try to mask his deficiencies for 3 & 1/2 quarters and he does alright with that until he absolutely has to make a play at the end of the game and he cannot.
Here are highlights to that game: http://www.houstontexans.com/tv-med...s-Texans/781ac175-c5c5-482a-acce-6e70b32d1977
From a thread I started a couple months ago: Pro Football Focus is very kind to Fitz. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/pff-qbs-in-focus-geno-vs-fitz.84277/ He also had the 9th highest passer rating in the NFL last season and went 6-6 with the Texans, to whom I believe we may have a slightly superior roster. Both have good 1-2 options (Marshall-Decker vs Hopkins-Johnson), a good running game and a good defense.
