This whole season has been a huge failure because of Chan Gailey. OMG someone get him out a here now! Before one game is played! What would it take to get Shotty back, the best OC we ever had????? SHOTTY! SHOTTY! SHOTTY!
This hits the nail on the head. I am very optimistic with the new guys, especially Bowles. I really like his mindset and truly believe this team is finally on the right track to being consistently successful. I had that feeling with Rex for the first two years, and then that faded very fast and turned to pessimism. We're just going to have to wait and see how this year plays out and then next offseason's moves are going to be huge as well. I believe this team will do well under these guys. But the main thing to me is at the QB position. In order to get to the big dance you need a GOOD quarterback. If these guys can get us a franchise quarterback, then we should all be very grateful. If Geno can be that guy, thank Gailey especially.
Rex's whole thing was the bravado. I think the Jets needed it, but it seemed to get old fast. I have a funny feeling Buffalo will be a powerhouse for their first couple years and then the long term neglect of offense and holding people accountable will sink in eventually.
Bowles is a breath of fresh air at this point. Hopefully the Jets have a healthy season and he gets us to 9+ wins and being in playoff contention most of the way. Chan Gailey is the guy sitting on the seat in the dunk tank. That's what they should call offensive coordinators. The position should be named "Guy Sitting On the Seat In The Dunk Tank".
Bowles seems like every other coach we've had in the 20 years. My impressions so far are not good. Well see how he is on game day. Mccags seems like a true pro though, so when we fire Bowles on three years I'm hoping mcgags sticks around
How does he seem like every other coach we've had in the last 20 years? And what has he done to give you a bad impression? Are you trying to out-Champ, Champ in being a negativist and pessimist?? Mccags hired Bowles, so if Bowles is no good, how is mccags good? I'm really puzzled how you can be so negative about him. I can understand being neutral and maybe not getting excited or thinking positively, with the Jets track history, but I can't see one single thing that he has done to give a negative impression or to seem like every other coach we've had. His reponses to questions have been thoughtful and reasoned, unlike that bag of wind and blowhard, Rex. He's not a quip machine like Herm Edwards. I could maybe see some resemblance with Mangini at least personality-wise, but Mangini's resume couldn't even begin to compare with Bowles.
The year of Geno?I'm trying real hard to imagine that but all I keep seeing is the Bills game with his epic turnovers
