I think you're out of line here. This fun 'FYI' tidbit happens to be true and whether you consider it minutia or not is not the point because if nothing else, it shows a sharp eye. I think a little of both are in play here. One one hand, it would be pretty "Tiki Barber-like" of him to seek to throw Sanchez under the bus altogether. On the other hand, why would he feel compelled to qualify his reflections on the Jets' 2009-2010 runs by singling out his QB for mention. Imho, he was not singling out Sanchez so much as he was acknowledging the QB position being part of any conversation assessing a team's strength.
just a silly post. I still like Rex, he did a good job for us. Maybe that team just put everything into that Pats game? we all know we didn't have an elite QB but you don't need elite QBs to win. Knowing how Darrelle speaks I think it is one of those quotes that looks worse on paper. I really think he meant they didn't have an elite QB which isn't groundbreaking. I am sure he will address it.
And it was Rex's responsibility to not let that happen. He made that Pats game his own little SuperBowl. The longer he's gone the less I miss him.
maybe he had to in order to win that game? remember we lost 45-3 a month earlier on the same field. if he doesn't treat it like a SB do we win? I don't know.
Speaking of our Joe..... here's a pop quiz to see just how fanatic you are about the Jets..... what do Mr. Namath and Dick Cavett have in common?!
