Lake Forest, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago Bears safety Mike Brown was placed on injured reserve Thursday after having surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right foot. He will miss the rest of the season.

Brown was hurt during the second half of the Bears' come-from-behind victory over the Arizona Cardinals, 24-23, on Monday.

Leg injuries have plagued the Pro Bowl safety over the past three years. In 2004, Brown was done for the season after Week 2 with a torn Achilles' tendon. Last year, he missed the final four games of the regular season and the playoffs with a calf injury.

Well the good news it that we dont have to play against him at saftey for the bears. The bad news is that we have to play everyone else.
