Sandy and De Podesta can take their Sabermetrics and shove it up their ass. This team really sucks. Thanks for ruining my Father's Day.

I expected nothing more than a double play ground out from Cuddyer. I'm starting to feel the same rage that I felt when I saw Jason Bay for Michael Cuddyer.

We can't expect Harvey to stick around when he's losing games 1-0.

    Wtf.

I think Im just gonna start betting the under on every one of our games.

Might as well get something out of the remainder of the season.

Mind boggling how Collins hasnt tried something with this lineup. Zero protection all around the way its currently constructed. 6 runs in 5 games is reason enough for people to lose their jobs. Im tired of the injury excuse. Other teams deal with injuries and dont miss a beat.

Also leaving in Harvey for 1 batter too many in 95 degree Atlanta heat was just as dumb as pulling deGrom on Friday with 97 pitches.

I can't see blaming it on Terry even though he's fucked up quite a bit recently when they give him .170 hitters in the lineup. But it'd be interesting to see what Wally could do with these guys. My guess though is if Terry is fired they promote Geren.

Disagree. They should have left Harvey in. You really trust one of those Torres idiots to get an out over Harvey? I don't.

Cuddyer is way over Bay but so far a big disappointment with under 30 Rbis even though he often bats cleanup. Grandy has 21 Rbis (for the season).

Of course not but Harvey was spent at that point. It was obvious when he nearly got taken out of the yard by a guy who was 3-33.

I'm all for stretching out his pitch count ossacionally but not on a day like yesterday where he labored most of the game anyway.

IMO he was kept in to give him a chance at a win. Collins didn't want to make the same mistake he did with deGrom but I guess he couldn't factor in the temperature difference, the pitch count difference, and the fact that deGrom was dominant and let down by his defense and Harvey struggled to get to where he was in the game tied 0-0.

Collins knows Harvey is the type to mix things up in the media if he was yanked and someone else gave up his game losing hit.

Darryl Hamilton was killed in a Murder-Suicide. So terrible. Thank goodness she didn't kill the kid.

Gotta admit when I heard the Hamilton story I figured it might've been a case of roid rage. Shocked it was more of a Steve McNair type situation.

What would make a woman with an infant do that is beyond me.

At least she didn't do anything to the kid. Usually when you hear these stories one of the parent wiped out the entire family. I'm telling you the wrong people in life get the horrible diseases

I don't think even the Mets know when that's gonna happen. :)

Prediction: we will be under.500 in a week. And the Mets will get no-hit again this season.

Dillon Gee cleared waivers. I'm a little surprised no one took a flyer on him.

Nobody wants to pay the scrub the 3 mil that's owed to him. I can't blame them.

I'm sure that Sandy did everything he could think of to get rid of that contract. Except maybe to trade him for a bat with an equally bad or worse contract. Kind of like an NBA kind of deal: both teams get rid of bad contracts. Except the Mets probably aren't willing to take on any additional money. Well, I agree with Francesca. The Mets are in a critical situation yet their strategy is to wait for injured players to return and make moves internally. The thing is more injuries, Wright isn't necessarily coming back and if they keep losing they might be out of it very soon. In other words they have to make their move now or it could be too late.

Not surprising news but Travis d’Arnaud returns to the disabled list.
