i mean he was 29 when he went to philly. toward the back end of it, yes, but he still should have been playing at a higher level for the so called "best corner in the game" at the time.

Revis is pretty close to no longer being an elite player. He has about two seasons left in the tank at his level. Then he'll restructure or become a cap casualty.
i dont know what yall expect from sherman last year, the pats would put revis on the #2 guy and doubled the top receiver ... that didnt make him any less of a cb you do what your coaches tell you to do ... sherman happens to do his job extremely well, and on the best defense in the league

I think his point makes sense. He's playing to his strength. His strength is not that of Revis. So be it, he still excels at what he does, and his coaches let him do that.

Nothing wrong with doing your job and doing it extremely well on the best defense in the league. Earl Thomas does that very thing for Seattle. The difference is he isn't outwardly saying things like he is the best in the game and he's better than everyone else. Thus he doesn't get the scrutiny Sherman gets... everyone just universally acknowledges he's an outstanding safety
