i just realized that Dan Connolly is still a free agent. I don't have a ProFootball Focus premium subscription so I don't know exactly how was he last season, but shouldn't we add depth to the OL, specially at guard? Maybe he's just too pricey, I don't know, what do you guys think?
Pass. Think we have enough depth at guard. Tackle is a much bigger issue - we should have signed Barksdale.
I'd think Connolly is likely considering retirement. He also doesn't need to sign anytime soon and go through the rigors of an off season program or early training camp. he can wait until August and see if a spot opens up on ateam he'd like to play for. If not, he'll just sit as Damian Woody and Brandon Moore did after getting cut. If he managed his money well, it's not worth the bodily abuse for Connolly to come back at the veteran minimum.
He was really bad last year and the year before. 10 years into the league, his time might be up. PFF rated him 72 out of 78 guards.
Well, playing against them twice a year, have really never noticed him? You mustn't pay attention quite well, I'm not even sure I remember the play you're talking about.
No--like every other NFL team we should have drafted OT Collins with one of our 7th round picks. The jets now have the 4th oldest OL in football and not one of the better ones--they can't keep ignoring it.
