Braylon Edwards arrested form"extreme" DUI

    Former NFL wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested for DUI in Scottsdale, Arizona last week ... and cops say he was EXTREMELY wasted ... TMZ Sports has learned.

    The 32-year-old -- who played for the Browns, Jets and 49ers during his NFL career -- was pulled over in the early hours of May 4th ... according to police records.

    Cops say Braylon's blood alcohol level was more than .20 -- more than twice the legal limit and considered an "extreme DUI" in Scottsdale.

    It's the 2nd time Edwards has been arrested for driving under the influence in the past 5 years -- he was popped for drunk driving in 2010.

    Braylon was also named in a battery report in 2013 for attacking a photographer in Detroit ... an incident that was captured on video.

    Attempts to reach Braylon for comment have been unsuccessful.

    Edwards was the 3rd overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He last played in the league back in 2012.

    Always liked Braylon. Loved what he did for us. Didn't realize he was only 32. Wow. He really fell off quick. He's an idiot for this. I can see him being bankrupt and constantly getting in trouble with the law pretty soon.

    Always loved Braylon. He was a good Jet for the little time he was here and tremendously entertaining. One of my favs from that team.

    The Miami TD at the end was the game right after his first DUI.. He missed all or part of the 1st quarter and then proceeded to tear it up.

    For the poster who thinks its funny " for a HS girl " see. If you feel that way when one of your loved ones are killed by idiots stupid enough to get behind the wheel being TWICE as drunk as the legal limit.
