I'm real happy with this pick. IMO, he's the 3rd best QB in this draft. It will be some time for him to learn the ropes but the
important thing about Bryce is he not only has the physical tools but a good head on his shoulders to make the adjustments.

To get him in the 4th is a steal.

Petty was projected much higher but they waited and snagged him in the fourth. Looks like Geno and Fitz will battle it out with Geno likely starting and Petty being groomed to take over the starting job when Smith sucks again this year with an arsenal of weapons to the likes of which the Jets have not had in years.
Honestly I am fine with this, matter of fact I am all for drafting a QB every year in the mid to late rounds especially when it seems like it's a good value pick at the time. Keep throwing em at the wall till one sticks.

All of this would have been not needed had Geno not sucked so badly. Sure we need other position players but our biggest sore spot on the team is the QB position.

Somebody just sent Geno a text, awaking him from his slumber. He thought the draft started noon West Coast Time.

Very true. However, he did suck that badly. Haha.

As a Pats fan, I'm concerned. It appears the Jets finally have a competent F.O. in place. You couldn't have asked for a better draft do far.

Gotta have a young QB to have a chance.

At this point I can get behind taking Petty.

Its all a crapshoot from here on out anyway.

No one will expect a 4th round QB to do anything, but if he does it shines a bright light on Mac.

They needed to get at least 1 of these guys, and I hope he gets to sit and learn. With this pick, there really should be a REAL competition between Geno and Fitz for 2015. Fitz wins, and the Jets have their possible heir for the future. Geno wins and plays well, they have a backup for the future.

Very glad they selected this guy. He will get to hold a clipboard and develop his knowledge this year, and his talent and athleticism is perfect. I think he will be in the mix at QB in 2016.

Could be the greatest draft pick of all time.

I mean, right behind Randy Gregory.

Guy has the best arm in the draft and a good attitude. His cons involve the offense he ran in college, making it questionable whether he can successfully transition to a pro offense. So the fact that he can spend a year developing his trade is a good thing, and alleviates that concern. He's exactly the sort of QB you want in the Meadowlands in December. Hopefully the Jets are successful in grooming him.

We need to do this the right way, and I'm confident that we will. He needs to sit for at least one year and learn the ropes of the NFL even if we are going to be running a spread offense. Fitzpatrick is on a one-year deal and Geno, if he isnt expiring next year, he is definitely cuttable. You do the math.

I would have rather taken a shot on Langford or Ajayi here but I understand taking a guy who could end up being one of the best QBs in the draft class in the fourth round when he's available.
