We stay in the 3rd, basically just got B Marsh for free, get an upside receiver, and add another 7th. Well done, Mac. I love you more by the minute.
This is the first thing I actually didn't like. A 5th and 7th rounder have like a 2% chance to become something. Posey means nothing to me. I don't know why he's trading out of the high 3rd round where theres still 2nd round talent that can be gone by the mid 3rd round.
Whoever Mikey Macc was targeting at 70 is probably going to be available at 82... or their board has a bunch of guys close in ranking that will be available at 82. Plus you pick up a 5th and another 7th for trade bait. Posey sucks, but that's not important.
Mac might have really liked Posey in Houston as well. The Jets also could potentially be looking at a QB who they feel they can get later in this round.
Call me the perpetual Jets draft pessimist, but to me this move reeks of "oh shit, there went Tyler Locket, what do we do now..."
Are you kidding? This makes no sense. We just took Devin Smith, why the hell would Lockett going a pick before us throw Macc into such a frenzy that he makes a trade?
Its a nice haul but gotta see who the players are. We passed on Coleman for the trade which doesnt thrill me. But I'll see what it brings us
Loved adding a 5th but we had to trade down way too far to do it. The 7th rounders and Posey are nothing. Really disappointed we missed out on Coleman and Duke for a 5th. Hopefully we get Harold.
too cute for their own good, missed the target (Harold) and IMO reaction was to grab the next best OLB prospect. Hope it all works out well, but the 3rd round wasn't a win IMO. A lot of missed opportunities.
I'm not a fan of adding picks in the 5-7 rds, I'd have much rather stayed out and taken someone at our original slot . I know nothing about the kid we drafted or the WR we got along with the picks, but I'll try to keep telling myself Maccagnan knows what he's doing . Evidently he liked the WR from his time there, let's see what happens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
