How likely do you think we are to select a linebacker in round 2? With notable players like Randy Gregory falling and other solid options on the board I wouldn't be too suprised- especially considering this teams penchant for taking someone other than the expected. Also, assuming we do, how long would it take for this place to explode?
Harris, Davis, coples, pace, babin If the Jets go Gregory we are deep all around defense The O is chilling saying 'what up?'
I say it's 50/50 who is there. If Gregory is there yes, Landon Collins yes, Kendricks maybe, Owa maybe
They better loose their shit in a good way because he's a stud and unbelievable value with our 2nd in a area of need to boot.
are there any round 3 WR that can stretch the field? I'd go Gregory if he's there with a WR/OL in the 3rd based on who's available. We need to look at a RB someplace or maybe a QB in the 4th?
Yes go Harold or Gregory, we desperately need an OLB. But don't forget about D-Line, always a chance.
Love the idea of Gregory in every sport a good D is essential. RB's and WR's are deep so pick them up later. Although a QB would be great think it's going to have to be next year
we have a 31 yr old WR as our #1 who most likely will be done 2 yrs down the line and then again we'll a hole at that position - we have to address wr in round 2...no more getting a wr in 4/5/6 hoping they become studs dont get me wrong, dbg might be a bust, but its more likely that he'll pan out (no stephen hill comments)
I'm not sure that I agree with this. These positions may seem deep, but the cream is usually picked in the first three rounds. Here are last year's pro-bowl WRs -- Antonio Brown, Dez Bryant, A.J. Green, T.Y. Hilton, Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, Jordy Nelson, Demaryius Thomas. 5 first rounders, 1 second, 1 third, 1 sixth. Last year's pro bowl RBs -- Le'Veon Bell, Jamaal Charles, Arian Foster,Marshawn Lynch, LeSean McCoy, DeMarco Murray. 1 first rounder, 3 seconds, 1 third, 1 UFA.
I'm not up on the prospects available past the 1st/2nd, unlike our resident draftniks. Anyway, I was asking if you guys thought anybody was good enough to take in the 4th. I know Hundley was tossed around often but I don't know jack about him other than that.
With Amari Cooper and Kevin White off the board don't bother drafting some work in progress receiver, jut do BPA at this point, if its a receiver so be it, but all the real offensive playmakers are off the board already with Gurley gone too. Sure some may be great but none that I would stretch for and need to have Cooper or White was that guy we really needed.
OL and RB (build the running attack, take pressure off scary QB play) Fitz or Geno tossing 30x/game....no thanks.
DEVIN SMITH ---if he falls to the 3rd....would be worth trading back into 2nd late if hes still there. Absolute burner from Ohio State...can stretch the field and has great hands...had a ridiculous YPC average last year......would be an absolute steal if he lasts
If it's a pass rushing OLB (you know, an actual area of weakness on the defence) then sure. Anything else and I don't even know what to think. If they pick a DL because they are the BPA....I don't even know.
