I just don't want to gamble, if they are convinced he is a franchise guy and wrong that is one thing but I don't want them to use the Idzik approach w/ Geno.
I don't think he is going to get traded, the biggest issue for me if I'm the team inquiring about him, is the total cost for ONE player, not only are they going to give up a ton of picks, but they now have to pay him 15 mil a year. The only player I would do that for is a franchise QB. Now I'm not going to have any depth, and I might lose out on a couple of good players that can contribute while being relatively inexpensive. Any GM that is willing to give up that much for MO and possibly hurt his cap and future roster should not be GM. I would love it as a jet fan if we could pull off that kind of heist, but I don't think it's going to happen.
Your right, he was labeled a failure during the draft and that is why he fell like a rock, thankfully he was a second round pick and we can start to plan without him. I know that giving the benefit of the doubt to players is part of being a fan, but there are many players that just are not cut out for the NFL game, it's nothing to be ashamed of if they can't take it to the next level.
You pay your best player(s). He's earned it. If he's not the Jets best (I think he is) he's in the discussion.
If your implying that a trade could be done this weekend that would be insanely dumb seeing that Mo is much more worthy than a day 2 or day 3 pick.
Not really. If the other team is giving up the entire draft this year AND next - yeah. I can see that happening.
You guys calling this pick dumb if we keep Wilk need to think outside the box a little Bowles and Mac are sharp football minds....have some faith
that would be my guess too. will be tough to run against us with that front, and the Nickel D will help clog the middle of field to disrupt TE's and slot WR's, as well as provide speedy potential blitzers.
