No trading up please...we have one pick in rounds 1-4 and then nothing until the 7th. We gotta make most of each one and hopefully get a pass rusher, o lineman, receiver and a running back
Only reason I see us trading up is for Mariota. I wouldnt leverage multiple 1st round picks though...But I would do TWO #1's I know alot of you will hate me for that, but next year's QB draft class looks like ass and no gurantees with QB free agents. HOWEVER there will be some very good QB's available next year potentially
i understand what you are saying, but i would trade up for Mariota as long as the price isn't too absurd. would give next year's first to do the swap.. nothing more. wouldn't trade Mo either.
I'd be pissed if we: 1. Traded Wilkerson and the 6th pick for the 2nd. 2. Traded our 2016 first With Geno/Fitzpatrick/Rookie Mariota this team could easily be back in the top 10 next year.
I'd prefer not to but if they are convinced the player they want won't be there I don't mind being aggressive. the brace yourself comment was in reference to initial post when he said he didn't want to trade up. It's sounding like it is a real possibility.
Next year's class has talent. Definitely keep an eye out. Next year, is a better overall I think. Only 2 QBs this draft, next season you got 5 potential good QBs coming out that. That's why I won't be sad if we don't get one this yr. No way do I want to trade up for a QB this yr when we have so many holes to fill. I wouldn't trade up next year either.
I think last year we all assumed Winston would go 1 and Mariota 2. That looks like the case. High grade QBs Next year, I think Cook is the only high grade QB and he still looks raw. Same goes for Cardale and Braxton
Well don't believe that. They're going to keep saying they want the farm up to the minute they're on the clock. When the 11th hour is here, I expect them to take whatever the best offer they get is. Until then, they're going to keep saying they want more.
Yeah we have a ways to go, but apparently everyone loves potential so they will love Cardale Jones. Dak Prescott - a "Tebow" clone that can actually throw a decent football. Jones could have been a first rounder this year if he declared. They all have rough edges, but have some really good skill-sets.
If the Jets trade up, Mac is putting his neck under the guillotine without so much as a football game played. It's a gamblers move. Could end up making kings of our leadership. Just as likely to make them chumps that are on the street in 3 years.
I wouldn't hate if we traded into the tail end of the 1st. It would basically be moving up maybe 10 spots and probably cost us a 3rd rounder next year. If it was to get someone really worth it for a 3rd round pick next year I could stomach it. I would prefer not to but I could stomach it.
Jets have told ESPN they have had substantial talks with Tennessee to move up. might as well post this everywhere as we have a million threads saying the same thing.
you keep posting this, why would the Jets tell espn what they want to do? maybe there are rumors but where are the links to what you keep repeating?
I don't want to trade up from 6. Wouldn't mind trading down depending on who's on the board. I think we forget we have an early 2nd so it's possible we could trade back into the first also. It's too early to tell but I doubt there will be anybody worthy of doing so. Just throwing it out there.
