I think he's a monster. I say cut Cumberland and offer a 3rd or 4th. He'd make for some great 2 tight end sets with Amaro in a spread offense.

    What say you.

@AdamSchefter: Bears entertaining trade offers for Pro Bowl TE Martellus Bennett, per league sources. Bennett wants a new contract in Chicago or anywhere.

Edit: autocorrect got me in the title. Martellus**

He's a good TE but not at a 3rd or 4th round price tag.

Especially if he wants a new deal.

If the Bears don't want to pay him they'll have to let him go for cheap.

A 4th is about right but we really don't need another TE and especially don't if we draft another receiver. Not to mention he is due to make 6M this year and again next.

i wouldn't trade for Bennett, but how can you say we don't need a TE?
who on our roster can actually block?

Sure. Let's trade our first for Cutler and our Second for Jared Allen and let's change our name to the Bears.

I think Amaro is the best TE the Jets have had since Doug Jolley o_O. All kidding aside, I actually like Amaro a lot. He had some issues with catching the ball, but I think the guy is really good at running routes and getting open. I expect him to have the 3rd most receptions on the team this upcoming season.

Nowhere near worth a 4th. Pass.

I'd offer one of our two 7's.

Gotta keep the third and fourth, easy no.

I'm not sure what he would cost, but him and Amaro in 2 TE sets could be nasty, especially near the endzone.

The guy has had 16 TDs and 2300 yards over the past 3 seasons.

I'd go with Cumberland and Amaro over him.

Bennett instantly becomes the best tight end on our team (sorry Jace). For a third or fourth rounder, i'd be all over him. You want to give Geno, Fitz, or a drafted QB more weapons? Here it is. Bennett is a great pass catching tight end who can block. We can use Amaro more in the slot and out wide to keep him on the field. Bye bye Cumberland if something like this were to happen.

    This is funny....LOL

You're right though.......While a 4th rounder for Bennett may not be a bad trade I don't see the Jets giving away another draft pick for a TE with a budding Amaro on the roster. Too many other positions need help..........
