Yes. In fact Arizona kept winning despite major defensive secondary injuries. Rex is not capable of adjusting to situations. There was a long line of excuses while he was here. Sanchez, Schotty, Sparano, Tanny, Idzik, Tebow, lisfranc, Geno.

    Common denominator was Rex.

Well, Rex gets two shots at the jets, one of them in the last week of the season.

The only shots Rex will take against the Jets are the ones where there is a writer sitting in front of him waiting to get an easy quote. Clown Shoes

I'm not bashing him... only pointing out a fact. Oh and last I checked 3- 4 is better than 1-5 but I've never really been good at math. You even provided me with statistics to back up my fact. BTW what does it matter if Rex's teams were good in years he lost after the bye or not? The only thing that matters is he was 1-5 after a bye.

I consider week 1 like coming off a bye since teams are preparing for multiple weeks ahead of the game and Rex was 5-1 in openers.

Wow - It amazes me how people keep talking about a coach who was fired and gone now since the season is over.
let's get over it and move on. The guy is going to run his mouth off no matter where he is. he is a windbag++++

Hopefully his Bills teams do as well as we did against the Ravens

I've been considering week 16 like going into the Super Bowl since it's been the last game of the season going on half a decade now.......hey but what's in a stretch? ; ) :D

Yes he is a windbag but it's not like this is just some ex coach who people are obsesing over, he has three times talked trash to the media about the Jets and he is also a division rival. Its not like Edwards who went to the Chiefs and forgot about the Jets. If anything it's Rex who needs to move on

You may consider it to be a bye but it's not, bye weeks are a break in between meaningful games not a fresh start after a bunch of glorified scrimmages

Hey it's great that you consider it a bye week but it isn't but you did bring up a very valid point, albeit it's different to the discussion but certainly should not be overlooked.

obviously it isn't an actual bye but they get extra time to prepare as they would in a bye week situation and he's been outstanding week 1.

Rex is a damn good coach, yes he has issues he needs to improve on but when he had talent here he won and he kept some untalented teams competitive until last year. he's gone to a div rival so screw him going forward but I will always appreciate what he did for our team.

I think it's fair, if we are going to criticize him for his performance after the bye he certainly should get praised for his openers. I think Rex is a dam good defensive coach but I think he's a bit overrated as a head coach. I think he's a guy who could win in this league but he needs an elite offensive mind and QB to do so. I think even if he had the elite QB without a good OC he'd fail.

clearly he doesn't need that as he nearly made 2 SBs w/ Mark and Schotteneheimer who all the geniuses around here think sucked.

I'd say ultimately he failed because neither of those guys were elite. You replace Schotty with Norv Turner and he probably wins the SB

    Totally unprovoked, totally uncalled for.

Since "all the geniuses here" are so beneath you, then obviously you'd be better off re-joining your snide, know-it-all bretheren at www.jetsoffensive.com .
