Read this article on sportsline from Jim Nantz We were not expected to have any chance against those teams but did well , but we still lost. So now we are all further along the learning curve and for the most part I think that most people are happy with the way things are going. I couldn't have dreamed that we would be 3-3 going into week 7. But as far as over achieving is concerned I don't think so. I did set the bar low at the beggining of the season and one more win is what I thought our record would be.So in that sense then yes we are. KC in the playoffs:rofl2:
i think the funny thing is the ravens are probably better than the bengals. now with the ravens on a losing streak that might look a little wrong, but the bengals definitely arent the same team we saw last year and he penned them in for the playoffs. laughable. and were not overachieving. as far as im concerned our schedule is as easy as possible and we should take 8 of our 16 games and be happy that progress is being made.
IMO, as long as our D keeps playing the way it is, we are over-achieving. Our Offense, and specifically our passing, along with special teams play are the only thing giving us wins. Are D is ranked 30th in the league!!!!!! That's a disgrace.
Well, you just got to win the games you can and are supposed to win. If you can knock off a top team in the process then so be it, but as long as we win the games we are supposed to win and the ones that we "can" win, we'll be fine. You can't ask for more than that.
And it's a one-dimensional offense at that - as we still don't have a respectable running game. Yes, we are over-achieving
Interesting how there are 9 of 16 teams trying to get 6 playoff spots and that is a "clear" trend. He should have said that Miami, Oakland, Tennessee, Buffalo, Houston and Cleveland will not compete for a spot.
We have beaten the teams we should have beaten and lost to the teams we should have lost to except we had Indy in a great position to win that game but poor decisions cost us that game. We really should be 4-2.
I agree this team is not over acheiving or under acheiving it's playing right about where it should be. I expect we may lose to a team we should beat and hopefully at some point we beat a team we should lose to to even it out. There is no reason this team can't win 9 or 10 games this year.
you are contradicting yourself IMO. You set the bar low, meaning you didn't expect them to achieve more then a few wins over the course of the year. They are winning more games then you imagined, there by achieving more then you thought possible. So naturally, the answer is hell yes, they are over achieving. We have a oft injured qb, horrible defense and new coaches all around us, who would expect 3-3 this far in?
Difficult to put into words , yes we are achieving goals , we are doing good but against expectation? No we lost the games that all the experts said and won all the game we should , but against some of the better teams we did better than expected....if that makes sense. I must admit that I previewed this before I posted it and thought that it did seem that way
