The QB situation has become a real f-cking joke. That screwball idzik is still f#cking this team. The GeNO situation is turning ugly. To think we are willing to bring old shot up re-threads to compete against Geno is showing exactly what our FO thinks about him. Lord help us....And as bad as everyone says Simms sucks I still would rather have him under center than Geno.

That's not really his agent is it? If so, I didn't know he was smart enough for that and I am actually a little more encouraged about his future than I was last week

Haha.. Great post, classic TGG humor.

I agree on all accounts but I didn't realize it's been 10 damn years since we've had a good season from a quarterback holy shit

Btw when we're down 76-3 to the Pats, if I'm still coherent and not comatose from well whiskey at the bar... I hope Simms throws a TD for them. At least we'll be able to debate on here how classless belichick is for running up the score!

Schaub was a solid starting NFL QB but he's done. I swear some of you guys only pay attention to names.

I see Simms getting some support here and some dead set against giving him a chance.. The reality is Simms deserve a chance. I'm not a Simms guy but as terrible as geno has been, bringing in a guy like fitz and now trying to bring in Shaub is a joke. The reasons why Simms will never get a chance actual has allot to do with nfl practice rules. I don't know how many of you aware how little these guys practice live. Players association has worked it down to absurd levels of when there in pads. Most practices are glorified walk throughs... So for example if you have 100 live snaps a week, the staring quarterback is probably getting 85 of them, then the backup is getting 10/15 so If a guy like Simms is lucky He gets 5 snaps. It's not enough to show anything, he's actual more of a Vic tom of circumstance than anything else.. The only opportunity he gets is in a game... I get it, you say so what, end of game the jets are getting killed.. What's that show... All it has shown me is He does always move the ball. I don't know if Simms is great or destined to be a practice plAyer till he's cut, I just think it sucks he will never get a fair chance to be evaluated.

Definitely a guy with some skills and success. Also a guy who seemed to fall off track after a couple of injuries and some ill-timed interceptions. Worth a look to see if he "got his head straight, boss."

that was such a domination that day, Schaub looked like he'd rather be anywhere than on a football field. Our D's under Rex had some great moments but that was as dominating an effort as I have ever seen by a D against a good offense.

Fitzpatrick is recovering from a broken leg and won't be a part of any of the off season camps. Why not sign some insurance in case Ryan isn't ready for training camp. So many things can go wrong in his rehab - it's smart to bring in another body just in case. And having a verteran around for rookie camp and mini camp makes sense.

The reason not to sign him is we are down to a few mil left in cap space. If they could sign him with no guarantee at all (which they can't because other teams are interested) that would be fine but those few mil are better spent elsewhere unless there is a bigger plan at QB that we don't see.

    Is he a FA?

If so, who cares if we bring him in? Whats the worst that can happen, he sucks and we let him go. He's not much worse (if at all) than Geno/Fitz.

We have no starting QB. Bring in anyone who can throw a football until we find one. No problem with this move.

Why is he a waste of time? Because he's demonstrated the ability to QB at a good level in the NFL? We wouldn't want that! Geno it is!
