There's a definite possiblity that strong (1st round) CB talent will be available to us in the 2nd round. Say Peters or Rollins is around for our pick. If they're convinced that the talent could be the next Revis, do they go with him?

(Probably not, I don't think, but we'll see.)

I mean...I'm the one harping on this corner situation. I'd love to get a solid Tackle, or WR prospect (if we pass in Round 1) here...

BUT - if you honestly evaluate someone as the "next Revis" and they're there in the 2nd round - you jump.

Cromartie will probably be gone after this season. Milliner and McDougle are far from locks. Skrines will be in the slot.

If you think Marcus Peter is the next Revis and he falls to you, I think you're fully justified in taking him.

My personal views on Jets CB's:

Revis: First or Second Best CB in NFL
Cromartie: Good #2, much better than anyone on the roster last year
Skrine: somewhat shaky, good nickel back option
Milliner: so far a bust but still has potential to be solid or better
McDougle: looked great in camp in 2014- that's all I really know
Williams: potential breakout player, keep an eye on him
Walls: don't know if he will make the team but he deserves too, adds good depth and played relatively well last year against some very good WR's

Keep all 7 and you've probably got one of the top three CB groups in football

I'd like to keep all 7, chances are one of Milliner or McDougle will get hurt by the season though. (Kidding... Hopefully) Walls will most likely be the first one gone if we decide to carry 6 but he'll have his chance to prove worthy. Whole group went from worst to maybe first.

Milner was the best corner in the Draft and rated very high. I have to question if you really read. He also was not the walking injury we see today.
McDougal was a reach because of the injury history even though one was scooter related. Skill alone he was drafted right about where he should be but because of the injury history he should have slide to the 5th.

I can bash the idiot known as office all day lone but for 4 picks Milner and Richardson in one drafts and the safety and the tight end in the second after those picks anything he has done is open for bashing
