Looking at some lower seed over higher seed 'upset' possibilities (forgetting #8-9 matchups): #11 Texas over #6 Butler (UT's talent has never been the question) # 10 Ohio St. over #7 VCU (just a huntch-VCU's been spotty of late, did look good vs. Davidson in the A10 semis). # 11 Ole Miss over #6 Xavier (Ole Miss' front line could prove too much) #13 E. Washington over #4 G'town (EWU streaky 3-pt. team; G'town inconsistent from '3'). #12 Wyoming over #5 UNI
Me too.... I had Iowa State going to the Final Four. You know what, before I did it I even thought of their #2 seeded team that lost in the 1st round when they had Marcus Fizer. I believe they won the Big 12 tourney that year as well. I think it was 2002.
I watched them a few times this year and each time they played so great. I was certain they were going to have a good run. .... Losing to a 19-15 team is absurd!
I seriously don't think I've ever lost a team to the Final 4 in the 1st game of the day. I think the only time I've ever lost a FF team in he 1st round was when Bryce Drew hit the shot to knock out Ole Miss.
Yeah, especially coming off the way they won the B12 you thought a nice run was on the way. Duke's bracket just got a whole lot easier.
Had ISU beating SMU in the 2nd round then losing to Gonzaga in the Sweet 16. Duke beats SDSU, G'town and Gonzaga and walks into the Final Four.
I like Wyoming, they usually play pretty good when they get in. They went to a Sweet 16 in 91 I think when they had Theo Ratliff and they beat Gonzaga last time they were in. If you watch them Larry Nance Jr is a really fun college player to watch. They also start 4 seniors and teams like that generally can pull an upset or 2.
