decker will be fine, he and marshall should be expected to have over 80 rec's each in this O, no telling who gets more though. they're of a similar kind being big bodied physical receivers, Marshall is perhaps better at contested grabs and Decker might be the faster player at this point. BM is our main split end, ED our flanker, JK our inside slot starter, cant wait to see the results.
We seen what he is capable of, thats why he was signed last year. But the expectations are going to be less due to the qb, that has to be factored in.
I assume Fitzharvard is starting. Gailey + Fitzharvard + Marshall on the other side = 80 receptions 1100 yards 9 TDs Assuming he's healthy.
The negativity on this thread is insane. Decker got nearly 1,000 yards last season even though he missed 2 games and was a decoy for two more. With Brandon Marshall next to him, I expect Decker to improve even more this year, more or less depending on who is throwing to him.
I don't know but I can say this, I think we will finally have a 1,000 yard season from either Decker or Marshall this year
oh its the real geno, about as much as his 3 picks in buffalo was the real geno. it all helps paint a picture of inconsistency and mediocrity I'd say. regardless, the truth is that sometimes (not often enough but sometimes) Decker and Smith hit it off, I would expect a similar time next year should geno start again. 2 td's and 700 yards is a bit low given how in supposedly a less favorable O and Decker injured year they got more than that. I say this accepting every performance.
true, i could go higher but i guess i wanted to highlight that starting geno again is the worst possible outcome. i just can't see how geno will improve, dude has earned way too many 2nd chances and only plays his best when things don't matter anymore
That's not the case. I'm mostly in the camp that he will have a better year within a better system surrounded by better talent, however as you stated, if Cooper is BPA at 6, do you take him? That's the question. I never said it was a need, but I don't think Decker has shown enough for you to totally rule out taking Cooper at 6 if the opportunity presents itself.
Why does everyone down play Decker? He put up nearly1000 yards with being injured all year. He turned it on the last four or five games. And that probably had to do with him being healthier and having more practice time with Geno. He will only benefit by having Marshall across from him taking coverage away from him. He is a good receiver and will put up over 1000 yards this year and around eight touchdowns. I don't think signing Marshall am having Decker should take us away from drafting a receiver in the first or second round.we missed out on last years receiver class we can't do it again this year.
Pray we draft MM , JM, anyone decent. Geno=what's done is done and can't be undone(with apologies to Wm. Shakespeare)
This whole thread is moronic. Considering the circumstances AND his numbers last year, why would anyone be down on Decker? Soooo stupid.
He missed two games to injury, played a quarter against the Bears, and a half against the Pack. Then we had the Miami debacle in NY were geno threw a total of 3 times if I remember correctly and this dude still almost put up a 1000 yards and 5 td's. People doubting him are fucking insane, the guy is as solid as it gets for being a number 2 wr. Edit: forgot to put my season projection 75 catches, 1100 yards, 8 td's.
While we're piling on that mope Decker, let's talk about how bad Folk sucks while we're at it? I mean we shouldn't leave any stone unturned trying to invent problems...
You're an idiot. Decker had a hammy out the gate was a decoy for a couple of weeks and hampered a couple more. It's all relative. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
