Unless the jets play Coples as DE/DL next year. I think they should consider the trade market for both him and Millner. With the signing of three CBs now, we should have ample CB depth--Move Millner and get something for him before he sits on the bench for 1 year. Same with Quinton Coples--No matter what Rex Ryan chirped, Coplies IS NOT a linebacker and having him "jam" the WRs was always a stupid Rex idea. Coples is a defensive lineman, damn it!! If they are not going to play him there, then move him for a draft pick. Both of them are former numbers 1 picks that Rex constantly chirped about but neither has done squat to this point. The time to get something for them is now, if anyone would even offer us anything for Millner.

Milliner has very little value. It would be smarter to keep him and let him build his value back up if he plays well.

I would think milliner has no value at this point, bad rookie season. Was said to be an injury prone player and he's coming off a major injury. Might as well keep him and see if he can do anything and stay healthy. Couples I don't want to give up on. You mY be right to try and package him for something.

You're right about Coples especially considering his contract is up soon....Milliner won't have much trade value coming off an injury. The Jets may want to see what they really have with Milliner in '15 as far as the future goes with Cromartie over 30.......

It would be insanely dumb to trade Milliner now. Some GM or coach with smarts will pick him up for a song at the lowest trading value and potentially inherit a future #1 corner.

Forget that notion. No value huge downside for us.

Totally agree. If we could get something of value for him, then I would listen to the idea of it. But nobody is going to offer the Jets anything much. It's better to let him rehab, come back, and hopefully play well.

Then the Jets can decide to either keep Milliner and let someone like Cromartie possibly go, or move Milliner for something of value.

I bet Rex desires Milliner's big juicy lips around his wife's dainty toes

We would be lucky if we got a 5th round pick for Millner at this point, and trading Coples wouldn't make sense we are already thin at his position

Just because a guy doesn't start doesn't mean he doesn't have value to the team.

Hmmmm I think we could get good value... maybe trade milliner for the number 1 over all pick in the draft because of his stellar upside and coples could probably get us maybe Tennesee's number 2 overall pick and there second round pick. He has a great upside too. I also think that Winston will go undrafted, Geno smith has a great shot at MVP this year but not as a QB it will be as a wide receiver getting passes from Derek Jeter.

The only reason to trade Milliner now would be if the team thinks he can never get over his injuries so try to get anything for him before he is forced into retirement or is playing in the CFL.

Coples has more value but Id much rather see what Bowles can do with him.

I totally agree regarding Coples, but not Milliner. I don't think the Jets would get anything even remotely resembling value for Milliner, and he could still develop. He's young, got talent, and they need depth/insurance. At Cro's and Revis age, injuries could happen.

We should start talking to any free agent that goes UFA next year before the draft and trade anyone we don't think we can keep:

    Wilkerson
    Snacks
    Coples
    Davis
    Ivory
    Pace
    Babin

We can not afford to lose these guys for nothing next year.

Millner I would hold onto until he can get on the field and show that he is healthy.

I would also resign Ellis and maybe Douzable before I go trading our DEs away.
