There were reports during the combine that we were talking with his agent but not even a whisper since. WHATS UP !!!!!

Get it done before FA starts so we know where we stand

Have to Admit this coaching staff is WAY different then Rex ( Sorry to bring that up ) but you do not have a clue
what they are thinking or what plans they have or direction they are going. But for crying out loud at least sign
big Mo and throw us a bone.

If we were hearing whispers it would be whispers leaked from Mo's agent that things weren't going well. No news is good news in this case

The jets technically don't need to extend him until next offseason. Let's see how they approach it.

There's also the possibility that he's getting floated as trade bait. We have no idea if the Jets have any desire to move UP in the draft, and if they did he'd be a logical trading piece.

Free agency is about to open. The Jets have Moe on the backburner but they're spending a lot of time courting Larry and Curly.

Maybe the Jets don't feel they need to know "where they stand" before free agency.

The same thing was said about Harris, then nothing, then all of a sudden he was signed. Just relax, Mo isn't a FA so it makes no difference when he gets signed this offseason.

Harris and Kerley were bigger priorities because they were both going to be FA.

My guess is that extending Wilkerson will be the last major move this off-season. The Jets have cash that they have to spend this year to meet that 4 year floor, and having Wilkerson ready to restructure gives them flexibility. You don't want to extend him now and find yourself short on cash to sign a big free agent, or maybe even that you still didn't spend enough to meet the spending requirement. Having the ability to structure his contract to meet the team's needs is something that should be kept in the front office's back pocket to the end.
