You also have to factor that he could be brining in Shady to take pressure off of the QB making it less of an issue and/or they have an idea what they are going to do at QB anyway (i.e. Sanchez which I don't think is the answer but Rex might).
I'm SO JEALOUS of the Bills right now!!! First they get Rex Ryan, and now they steal LeSean McCoy from the Eagles! This reminds me of when Parcells got Curtis Martin in his prime, only McCoy is way more explosive than Martin ever was.
I'm actually fairly happy with what the Jets have done since they fired Rex. I like our new GM, coach, and OC. So I think it might work out good for us in the long run anyway. I just think the Bills' signing Rex and trading for McCoy are great moves for them, and so as a Jets fan I'm disappointed to see one of our division rivals getting better. That's all. But again, I think we are in good shape too. ...so sorry truth haters, looks like you'll be stuck with me and my sometimes annoying "counter-cultural" posts for awhile longer ... enjoy!
LOL .... but how do you know that? And if true, then I might just want to move there after all, since that would mean that they have the smartest population in the world!
So you like the GM and OC what about our new HC? McCoy is a beast but lets see if he can handle running between the tackles and not in a zone running offense
Well, this is what I said in my last post that you quoted: " I like our new GM, coach, and OC." .... so yeah, I'm happy with Bowles as our new HC. I would have preferred Quinn, but I think Bowles will probably end up being a very good coach for us.
We r gonna discuss this to death only to see him sign with arizona Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If I told you there is a FA running back with these career stats, would you say we should sign him, and if so what kind of contract would you give him? 2010 74 - 283 yds - 3.8 avg - 0 TD 2011 107 - 561 yds - 5.2 avg - 4 TD 2012 207 - 1,244 yds - 6.0 avg - 6 T 2013 202 - 933 yds - 4.6 avg - 2 TD2014 78 - 300 yds - 3.8 avg - 0 TD Apart from his 1st round pedigree or name recognition, those are CJ Spiller's career stats. So what is that worth in free agency? http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/13203/cj-spiller
I think CJ Spiller would be a great upgrade, however, Bilal Powell is still a very good RB who is under-utilized
C.J. Spiller turned down a $4.5 mil/ year offer from the Bills. I don't know what he thinks he's gonna get but if we wants anything way more than that then I'd pull out of the bidding. He's not that special and there are tons of other options and we have a lot of needs.
I couldn't believe that when I read that. I thought we could get a good deal on him, but maybe not. I'd be ok with a deal in that range if it was front loaded. If he doesn't work out, we could cut him, or keep him for cheap anyway in the later part of the deal.
Talent doesn't come cheap, even at the RB position in a relatively loaded market. Somebody is going to be willing to pay for CJ's services, after he was criminally misused and underutilized for 4 out of 5 years in Buffalo. To me the only question is whether CJ can stay healthy and give you 16 games. I believe he can. He has already proven to be a dynamic a playmaker in Chan's system.
