I never want him back here. The good news is that he probably feels the same way.

Was probably the most talented Jet ever, and we get this shit. I swear we always catch the shit end of the stick.

I don't want a NE Patriots ***kisser on my team.

He's tainted now. I don't ever want to see him bak in NY Jets Green and White ever again.

    Cro was a true Jet.

This thread will get many hits and many pages of wasted comments but I can help you right now: Revis NOT coming back to the Jets. He has no interest. They have no interest in him either. Revis won't 100% stay in New England, but he will go to whoever gives him top dollar and that won't be the Jets.

I have a feeling he will end up with the bills or back with the Pats

    Noooooooooooooooooo!

We do not need shut down corners at that price. Our issue was always stopping the tight ends and the small quick receivers (gronk and Edelman types).

Honestly, at this point, if I'm Revis I just take whichever team I think has the best chance to win next year and offer my services for a butt load of money. He did it with NE... may as well do it for the rest of his career.

Mevis can end up wherever he wants, just not on the Jets. He had an incredibly small part at best in the superbowl. Pats won for one reason and one reason only. You win the big games because you have a stud QB, everything else is secondary. Fuck , if Revis is worth 15-20M per year then Brady is worth 10 times that, our quest can not end till we get the QB we deserve. Enough about Revis. I'm not spending that kind of money for a CB, but would spend triple that for an elite QB.

Rex is gone so the lure is probably gone for Revis.

The Bills make more sense, but they'd probably have to do something about the large contracts of some DLinemen

Seriously, after the billboard shenanigans last season, if the Jets pull the trigger on such a ridiculous contract I think I'm finding some team in the NFC West to root for. There is a limit to the amount of stupidity I'm willing to openly align myself to.

I often agree with you, but not about this one.

The Jets traded him to Tampa without even trying to make an offer to keep him. And when Tampa did not keep him they made no effort to bring him back. NE made the best offer, and he took it. So what did he do in all that to deserve hatred?

I think it's terrible that he ended up there and now has a ring with them. But the real blame lies with Woody and the Jets. Woody admitted that the problem was one of the perceived difficulty of dealing with Revis's agents. Funny how they did not prevent Revis from signing with the Pats. Woody in effect declared unilateral disarmament when he would not even attempt to negotiate.

And of course Revis's team did not beat the Jets last night, so I'm not sure about where the Judas comment is supposed to be coming from.

And ftr I am putting my current Woody hatred on hold for his having gotten Bowles and Mac, since I think it was the right move to clean house, and so far those two look like good choices.

But history is history, and I can't understand Jet fans who think the problems with Revis were all coming from him and not the Jets.

I think there's mutual un-interest on both sides. It's speculation that makes little sense for either party. Plus, I would like to believe this FO will want the opportunity to go find their 'Revis' and not live off others' past glories. Revis will become this generation's D Sanders and play for who ever the big dog is with the best chance at a SB AND has the deepest pockets. Revis and his camp were honest from the beginning, starting with his rookie holdout - it's a business and the only loyalty is to the almighty dollar. And nobody should assign any sentimentality to him, because it's never going to be reciprocated. Nothing wrong with that, it is what it is...

If you look at it as a business without emotion as it should be and pretend Revis was never on this team then why would you think a team with a boat load of cap space whose biggest need imo outside of a QB is CB wouldn't even kick the tires on a hall of fame CB that will probably be available?
Seems like if a future HOF CB from another team not named Revis was all of a sudden becoming available "sign this beast" would be plastered all over this board.

I don't care who his friends are, who his agent is, what he did last night or last year or what he had for lunch today. If the guy can play the game well, and there's no indication he can't, if he can be had for a reasonable contract, I want him on the team.

Agree. For me its more the fact that its not going to happen then actually wanting it to happen.
