that's correct. they have evidence of rule violation (the footballs). they don't need to pinpoint a specific individual for the violation in order to take action. If no one is talking, penalize the organization as a whole, and remove the man in charge from the field this week. That will get them talking.....but even if it doesn't, the league will have responded.
And since they were okay before being in the Patriots possession and low in pressure after the Patriots had them for half a game, it's the Patriots' fault.
And you know this, how ? Anyway it's not the point. The poster said the team is responsible, they're not. I corrected him. Very simple. Not argumentative or trolling. Just getting the facts out there.
And he also worked on the Mars rover program but hey Bill Belichick said it so it must be true. I never thought I'd say it but I hope the other Pats fans don't take a back seat to this MENSA guy that thinks Shula coached the Ravens.
I know this because NFL made a statement that 2:15 before the game the footballs were up to the league standards. And this IS the point. NE staff deflated the footballs. SOMEONE on NE staff did it = the organization is responsible.
Eh, don't want to make this political or anything but WMD were actually found in Iraq so that's not a great analogy http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...casualties-of-iraq-chemical-weapons.html?_r=0
So you are saying that the refs purposely deflated the balls (i.e. they are complicit in the Pats cheating) after checking and marking them? Or that they didn't supervise the balls closely enough to prevent the Pats from deflating them and giving Brady his flat balls (i.e. the Pats cheated)? Or that the Pats purposely gave them deflated balls (i.e the Pats cheated), and then the refs ignored their responsibility to check them and marked the balls as fine even though they were given a heads up that deflation was going to be looked into? If it's all the refs fault, why have Scientist But I Don't Know Anything Bill call a special press conference to announce that he has conducted independent scientific testing into the self-deflation of balls in 50 degree weather (The Miraculous Deflation)? And why would Brady himself say he always gives them to the refs at 12.5, when he really prefers them at 10.5? Just come clean. See, for this theory to be anything more than a last ditch desperation move, you need Brady and Belichik to admit that they gave the refs 10.5 balls and that they snuck through because the refs in an AFC Championship Game were lazy. Problem is - admitting to this "gamesmanship" is still an admission of cheating by a team with one bold strike already against it. Furthermore, you have no evidence that this happened and their lame denials and far-fetched explanations dig them into a deeper hole that demonstrates what this really is. They gave they balls to the refs. The refs checked them. The Pats got access to the balls and deflated them to 10.5 as per Brady and Beli's wishes. Then they got caught. See - it's not that hard.
NO, I am saying what I said. " The refs are responsible to make sure the balls are inflated according to guidelines 2 1/2 hours before game " I don't know what happened. I await the NFL report and some " FACTS " to come out, not tweets and specualtion. So far all I know is the Patriots balls were not properly inflated when they were checked in and about halftime.
