If we could sign Cro back and sign a guard and try to go after one of the big name WR I would be happy.
I'm hoping for: Byron Maxwell Orlando Franklin Julius Thomas/Charles Clay Matt Moore/Fitzpatrick (if cut) to compete with Geno Rahim Moore Sam Acho ———————————————————— Some other names, but long shots: Doug Free (he could be a solid stop gap while we develop a RT) CJ Spiller Ahmad Brooks (if cut)
Give me Iupati or Franklin, and some good/decent players in the secondary. That's honestly all I want, and maybe Randall Cobb(if we let Percy walk).
Julius Thomas is really overrated IMO - but I would love to grab Charles Clay. He's that TE / FB hybrid that can create mismatches. Def Iupati, maybe you try and pry Devin McCourty from the Pats. CJ Spiller is on that list.
Demaryius Thomas is a pipe dream not even worth mentioning. Randall Cobb has a much better chance of hitting the open market..we'll see if we're players in anyway for him..I would cut Percy to sign Cobb in a heartbeat. We'd get the younger more durable player, save a 4th rounder, all while upgrading our WRs. He shouldn't cost much more than the 10.5 mil per year Harvin is supposed to make. There'd have to be a ton of guaranteed money but someone's making a run at him, why not us? If we do go Bronco hunting I love the idea of getting Orlando Franklin. Should come cheaper than Iupati and can play RT or Guard. If we draft a serviceable lineman on top of signing Franklin our O-Line would be much upgraded.
A CB, RB (cut CJ No K) LBs and Maybe a big time WR, assuming we can't get Cooper at 6. And maybe Matty Moore or Bradford(if released/cut) or a vet QB to compete with Simms, and maybe a draftee... and Geno.....
You have to remember that Russell Wilson needs an extension and thats speculated to be about $20 million annually, Jermaine Kearse could be in line for a nice raise, Russell Okung is a FA in 2016, and Bobby Wagner will need an extension as well. Also, don't forget that right behind Byron is Tharold Simon who's shown he's certainly no slouch.
I think Harvin is a better player than Randall Cobb but I agree. I'd take Cobb over him simply due to durability
I agree. Not saying I don't want Cobb but I would rather pay less for Harvin than pay more for Cobb. Both of them are QB-dependent IMO.
Why is everyone so hyped on an aging Cromartie? I get that he played for Bowles in AZ, but dude still got beat a bunch. Give me Maxwell over Cro.
