JUST in case players read this board...now, the ones that do, have no excuses....apparently, if you get these two things correct you are on the right foot with the new HC. From Serby's ARTICLE:

CLEARLY they better be on time. he he he heee

I'm guessing it's probably not going to be okay with him if the starting QB is late for practice for a movie because he doesn't understand the time zones. Just a hunch

Well that pretty much guarantees we'll have a new starting QB next season.

The big question: do the players still get g-damn snacks?

Great article and a welcome change. Maybe hiring football people to find candidates instead of corporate head hunters will pay off big dividends. Our new coach seems to have his head screwed on right, while our old HC is now doing time in Siberia, NY.

Under Rex so many Jets players didn't know their assignments. Blown coverages on D even well into the season when you would think they understood the playbook. Same on O with guys lining up incorrectly which completely screws up plays or makes you have to call an unnecessary time out. If the new coaching staff can just improve in that area more wins.

Ya, Rex could give two shits if you were on time...he sure the hell wasn't going to punish you for it...not under his loose ship

I wouldn't be surpised if he was asked this during his interview to be HC here. Even Woody must have smiled when he said that as its 180 from Rex's "Club Med" mentality for his players.

You took the words right out of my mouth!!! We are gonna see an entirely new team attitude and performance-wise this coming season.

Totally agree, I have hi hopes we are now stearing the ship in the right direction with the needed leadership at the helm.
I felt that the past regime was not close to being on the same page. In fact, all the passion Rex showed on the sidelines, and all the discipline that Idzik talked about, did very little to improve the team, nor did it result in a well executed organization, or team, but rather it seemed like an ad hock execution without any accountability or near term purpose.

I never bought the whole lack of talent thing. The difference between the bad teams and the good teams comes down to preparation and discipline, and a little luck sometimes.
