Here is some information I found on him. Brian Quick, Stedman Bailey are good examples. Tavon Austin? meh.
Didn't Mac say that he wasn't anticipating too many more changes in the press conference? I think it's a good idea to keep Graves on. He's been a GM and can offer a lot of advice. Presumably he also has an idea what Idzik's plans were going forward, has an idea what stage players negotiations have reached, etc.
“@KMart_LI: Heard in Mobile that the #Jets were going to make Brian Heimerdinger their new director of player personnel.”
I know nothing of this guy. Too lazy to research right now. Can someone put some info of this guy in here? Is this a good hire?
He's a scout for the Rams. He's got a weird name and he's considered a rising star in league circles.
He won the coney island hot dog eating contest three years in a row,Woody saw potential and made an offer
Just saw this tweet: Albert Breer @AlbertBreer 5h hours ago The Jets are hiring Bears nat'l scout Rex Hogan as their director of college scouting. Chicago has released him from his contract.
And this one: Albert Breer @AlbertBreer 5 hours ago The Jets are also hiring Rams scout Brian Heimerdinger to a prominent front-office role. St. Louis let him out of his deal. Then Breer said this: Albert Breer @AlbertBreer 5hours ago Consider all this a win for new Jets GM Mike Maccagnan. Generally, a new GM can't shape group until after the draft. Maccagnan doing it now.
He died? Jesus. I feel like he was with us for a few years. It's crazy it was only 1 year, and it was a decade ago now. Wow.
Can't help but be excited about all this new blood. Finally, it seems we have some good "football" people in our FO!
This is as strong a personnel team (by all accounts) as we've ever had. Combined with a strong CS, led by many former players, it certainly is exciting. Let's hope they live up to the hype.
