Forget for the moment how good you think these players are going to be.

For this poll we have seen how these guys pan out and are redrafting with 20/20 hindsight.

It has more to do with who else is available and what this team needs most than upside.

Winston, Gregory, Williams, Cooper, and Fowler are off the board.

Who do you take at # 6?

    Marcus Mariota - Chad Pennington
    Shane Ray - John Abraham
    TJ Clemmings - Jumbo Elliot
    Brandon Sheriff - Alan Faneca
Any WR not named Cooper - Jeremy Maclin
    Danny Shelton - Haloti Ngata

What kind of a question is that. There is no decision other than to take Chad Pennington and pray that his arm stays in one piece and he gets a ring or 2 and goes to the hall of fame.

If he doesn't stay healthy then you find another bullet and take your shot again until you hit. Anything else is background noise.

Wait, is Pennington even in the draft? He's like 40 and his arm is shot.

If we're going to draft an old QB, I wouldn't do it till round 7 and it would be Kurt Warner.

When do ex-players have to declare for the draft?

I'd draft Chad Pennington with 4.5 speed and a healthy shoulder all day every day.

It means that Macus Mariota ends up being just as good as Chad Pennington.

In other words you are passing up the other players available for Chad Pennington, not the second coming of Johnny Unitas or whatever else you think Mariota might be.

Then it seems that you have made up your mind.

The idea is that you are getting a young healthy Pennington who may or may not get hurt (clean slate with all the risks the NFL presents to any QB).

Why is he limited to Chad's ceiling?

Do I have to take imagine Mariota having 2 shoulder surgeries when I make my imaginary pick?

And do we have Vinny playing sonMariota can sit for 2 years?

What's the issue with just putting up an unconditional poll?

    Serious question.

Is a Tom Bradylike QB going to be available in the 6th round?

How many DUIs do we have to imagine Shane Ray is going to garner?

Well shit he's faster than Chad now if only his brain turns into the rapid fire genius of a field general that Chad's brain was we'll be in good shape if we draft him. Few are like that in the NFL is the only problem.

Mariota will be better than Colin Kaepernick. Granted that's not saying much. But he can also be Russell Wilson. I take my shot...no looking back.

I'm not waiting around for the next Andrew Luck...unless sombody tells me how exactly that's gonna happen. I'm not willing to Hope to get lucky with a late pick. It rarely happens

Otherwise I want a Daggum Elite Pass rusher....The other ingredient we've been lacking forever that teams win SB's with...

That would be boring because Mariota would win in a landslide on this board.

The idea of limiting the upside on the QB is to see if that changes the result.
