So is the allegation that the Patriots took the balls from the ball attendant, deflated them, and then returned them? What other possibility could there be?
The entire point is that the balls were weighed and checked an hour and a half before the game by the refs. That's standard ruling. The balls are then given back to each team and used. In the middle of the game the refs noticed a couple times that the balls looked deflated so they removed them from play. So yes, the theory is that after the refs initially looked at and approved them, New England had the air removed considering they were already approved.
Indy was gonna lose that game no matter what. They sucked completely, but cheating is cheating. I don't give a shit if you were gonna win either way. That's a blatant attempt to break the rules to use as an advantage over your opponent. Fuckin Patriots are such fuckin cheaters. They just can't stop.
So the NFL provided ball attendants either a) weren't paying attention or b) allowed the Patriots to remove air from the ball at some point during the game. Is this correct?
Ok, thanks. Honestly, based on what I've been reading, that's the only thing that makes sense. To me, that's not very believable/likely.
It would be pretty easy to deflate balls in the course of a game. I imagine WalMart sells those pumps for like $6 and it takes like 10 seconds for belichick's intern to hide behind people, put the needle in, take a little air out, and toss it over to the referee to start a possession. They exchange balls a lot over the course of the game, any time they get wet, especially. New ball comes from sideline, sideline where they took a little out. The notion that it would've been difficult to pull off after the pre game investigation is silly. Maybe the referees should've noticed it more but then again they did notice it multiple times during the game and now the NFL is investigating. The NFL isn't going to stop a Conference Championship game though in it's tracks to investigate/dock a team for cheating without precedent.. hence the Patriots flippant lack of worry about the in-game consequences.
I'm sure the ball attendants are laser focused, high caliber professionals who couldn't be distracted. They're also probably very well paid. Just things to consider.
Well its not surprising because BB has displayed a number of times he'd do anything to win. The NFL needs to drop the hammer and they have 2 weeks to do something so no excuses. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
The ball attendants control the balls throughout the game. When you say the ball comes from the sideline, you are implying it comes from the Patriots. This is not the case.
You honestly expect a fuckin ball boy to know if a ball is deflated too much or not? What's your point in all of this either way? The ball boy didn't deflate the ball
With our luck, the Patriots will be forced to forfeit a draft pick, and it'll be the one they got from us for Woody-Gate. _
