Knicks started 0/10, culminating in a very Knicks possession

Missed jumper, offensive rebound, missed layup, offensive rebound, missed layup

    Matt Moore video

"The NBA team formerly known as the New York Knicks. We have determined they are something below the D League right now."

I believe Kentucky would be favored over the Knicks at this point, because the Knicks are not even trying to win. It's not about NBA players being superior to college players. It's about a bunch of guys going out there and just losing on purpose.

A team with Carmelo on it should never be this bad. 5-36 and getting blown out regularly by the worst teams in the NBA.

Yeah, it was so much better when we were only marginally bad but good enough to keep from improving or having something to look forward to.

I am enjoying every loss with the prospect of a potential franchise changing rookie on the horizon and the cap space to build around him.

Trade Melo for Kevin Love at this point and have the option of letting that money go away at the end of the year and I'd be an even happier man.

Is this a surprise? PHI is a multi-year tank job. It happens all the time in the NBA.

Enough teams want to tank that they block any possible change.

Tanking is always bad for leagues and it's what happens when you reward losing. Yet leagues continue to do it.

You'd think the NBA would want a good show for London, yet they send this disaster there. In the beginning of the game Jared Dudley and Carmelo Anthony came to halfcourt to address the fans, thank them for supporting the NBA, and tell them about the good show they were going to put on. Yeah.

Knicks didn't score until almost 6 minutes into the game, and they fell behind 14-0.

Outscored 31-13 in the first but that's nothing for the Knicks. Charlotte outscored them 41-13 and 27-13 in the second and third quarters.

It's one thing to lose, it's another to have disasters like this. 16 losses in a row, and most were routs. 2 or 3 close games in the entire stretch.

Oh of course it's terrible for the league, but they have fans buying into tanking as a strategy which is why they don't want to just abandon it. There is a hope created by the lottery.

The Wheel is probably the best solution the NBA has right now, but that requires EVERYTHING changing around it which is tough to comprehend the ripple effects. Strange situation they're in.

    Happening everywhere.

In baseball, the AAAstros have been dumping any MLB-quality talent they have and losing on purpose for like 3 years.

In hockey, Buffalo put out a terrible team both last year and this year, obviously not trying to win. Same thing with dumping any players who might help them win.

The NBA has the 76ers and Knicks.

Cleveland wouldn't be surprising. They won 3 out of the last 4, almost like it's rigged

Them winning wouldn't be surprising but they'd have to get in the lottery and they won't. The East is just too awful for them to miss the playoffs.

LeBron would have to miss 25+ more games.

They're right now 4.5 up on 9th place.

Yeah good point. Getting there would be the surprising part for them. Winning it seems to be a tradition for them

6-36. Knicks win against a Pelicans team without Davis or Holliday (who beat TOR yesterday).
