According to his twitter "life changing" decision at 3. Which means hes gone

    Any interest in 12 gauge?

Yes, 100% interest. He would instantly become my #3 QB if he declares.

I'd take him in the 5th round or later. I think he needs to show great character, and a REALLY good workout(s) prior to the draft. Dude is talented, but no one had any major film on him.

He's got the best arm in the draft no doubt, but 3 games ... taking a big chance.

"Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL classes are POINTLESS" -Cordale Jones
Not sure this is the guy I see as our future Franchise QB.

LOL. You guys literally make me laugh. No, we don't want Winston or Jones. We just want to continue to complain about not having good QBs.

This has nothing to do with him as a player, but I saw a headline on Twitter the other day it said:

"Cardale Jones visits kid in hospital, plays video games. Beats him 91-35 in NCAA."

He's the definition of a prospect. Started 3 games in his career with the best team in college football. His biggest attributes are not mental or accuracy-wise but his strength and his arm. I would take a 6th round flyer on him, but nothing more.

that team wasn't really the best until he started playing. they didn't even really earn a spot into the playoff but obviously earned the title once in the playoff.

Okay, they were the 4th best. But they won the championship because of their defense, not their 4-turnover offense. Plus, the only reason people thought they didn't "earn" a spot is because their starting Qb got injured the game before their last.

Hilarious that you can play 3 games in college and be a most likely 3rd round pick in the NFL.

I'll admit I didnt watch much of Jones but I gotta believe that Meyer and the OSU running game and defense had a lot more to do with their success then Jones did.

Both Braxton and Barrett were considered Heisman candidates before they went down , so maybe he is more of a system QB then anything. Either way he will need to sit for atleast 2 years behind a good QB and good system. So he's not a good fit here at all.

Winston or Mariota would be great but I doubt Petty, Grayson or Jones develops into as good of a player as Geno let alone a Franchise QB.

Edit: Not ruling out Grayson but would much rather roll dice with him than Jones.

I think OSU has one of the better offensive lines in the country - so add that to the list as well.

I don't think we should draft him by any means. But I do think he's a 2nd round talent at worst from what I've seen of him. He can make all the throws. He's also a load to bring down. This in no way indicates that he is ready to start in the NFL. In fact, quite the opposite. But this guy is the definition of a worthwhile project if you have a superstar at QB for him to learn from. I see Brock Osweiler with this kid (obviously with a lot less game tape). Osweiler was drafted in the 2nd round to a team without a need at QB. Kinda like Garoppolo, same deal. The Jets absolutely shouldn't draft him, but he should get drafted in the 2nd round in my opinion.

Way too small of a sample size to go off of. Don't fall prey to the Timmy Smith syndrome. I think Jones looks really good but I want to see him do it for a whole season at OSU when everyone is gunning for him.

Has to be worth a serious look and evaluation.

It's an interesting question though. How high can a QB be drafted after making just three (very impressive) starts?

But his issue is that Miller and Barrett are back next year. So he may be 3rd on the depth chart again with nowhere to go. If your option is to leave for the NFL tomorrow and get drafted or get relegated to backup duty in college again and maybe forgotten, wouldn't you go to the pros? Not to mention, let's say he's just not that good or he doesn't play again...don't you want to leave while it's fresh on everyone's mind that you just won a national title? That you went up against arguably the best QB prospect in the NCAA and won?

Do we want the 3rd string QB at OSU? He's played 3 games and sure he can run people over like a fullback and throw the ball as far as J Russell so sure let's take him with 6th pick in the draft? Lol 7th round pick is maybe a consideration.
