God, listening to Rex's press conference is tough. I am definitely going to miss him. Onward and upward with Bowles, but it's still difficult. I hate that he's still in the division.

firing him will go down as the biggest mistake the jets ever made the only issue he ever has had was a qb and if he somehow finds one he will win multiple superbowls, the bills obviously dont have one so thats the jets only saving grace and i cant help but wonder why he didnt wait for the falcons job

Not likely...you of all people should know that. You have argued many times in that his defenses constantly folded in big spots and the stats were overblown. I've always agreed with you on most of that which is why I don't think Rex is some savior. Is he a good to great defensive coordinator? Yes, is he a once in a lifetime head coach? No.

Here's hoping he never learns how to make adjustments, manage timeouts, or maintain team discipline. I liked the guy but the penalties, 2nd half declines, etc. weren't getting any better over the years.
Rex still hasn't learned. Made reference numerous times to (wanting to be) the number 1 rated D, showing his real priority while dodging offensive questions... wants to stick with "ground and pound" ..when asked about the importance of the QB position he said it's not about one guy and left it at that.
I loved it when he was talking about terminating Schwartz' contract. “I have the utmost respect for Jim and what he has been able to accomplish throughout his career and I know he feels the same about me,” Ryan said in a statement from the team. Rex can't even pump the guy he's firing's tires without pumping his own. LOL
Rex is so pathetic. This Presser has been hilarious. The Bills owner is clueless. I feel bad for their fans. Rex has learned nothing in 6 years as Jets Coach. Very sad. Their Defense will be good. But wait.........It already was good.

I mean.. We gave him 6 years, 2 high profile rookie qb's, 2 GM's, 3 OC's. Not much else we could do, once WJ decided to move on from idzik, he had to clean house and remove rex as well. Idzik screwed him but the Jets ownership and fanbase gave Rex all the opportunity we could. He doesn't have any right to take shots at us and I don't think he would even secretly want to anyway.
