Maybe Bowles and his staff will actually coach up our players. Get them in the right position, teach them technique at that position. Rex was a great scheme guy, not sure if he was good at positions or technique.
I really hope so,I hope we aren't gonna count on Millner and Mcdougle I hope there's atleast Cro or Byron Maxwell or both added to the roster
I am relieved that Bowles is an advocate for the 3/4 defense. In that regards a flier on Acho as a Pace replacement would do nicely. And that secondary needs to get fixed.
bring Revis and Cromatie back. Then they can forgot about the defense and go offense-heavy in the draft
Cromartie is a free agent, no? I can easily see him back here on a one year deal similar to what he had with the Cardinals this year.
We need a QB, the jets were not bad on defense, they were last in the NFL on passing offense. We have to stop living in the past, we did not win SBs with revis and cromartie, they are older now. Put that money to good use and get some good young players on the team and resign our key players. I don't want manning, Revis or cromartie on this team. JMO
Yeah his hire would seem to indicate that the 3-4 is here to stay. Acho seems like a decent player, but the team's current starting OLBs are not all that bad with Coples and Babin, who actually had a terrific year. Surprisingly, IK started to look decent at the end of last season and perhaps Reilly is at least a depth player. If they want to upgrade, it should be with a high draft pick such as Beasley, Ray or Gregory or with a big-time free agent such as Justin Houston or even Brian Orakpo. I wouldn't necessarily be against signing him at the right price, but this team has some decent players at OLB. What they could use is an impact pass rusher
interesting read on potential releases/cap casualties http://www.spotrac.com/research/nfl/early-nfl-roster-bubbles-extension-candidates-500/ some guys that could probably be had on the cheap that might be able to help Henne, Deangelo, Gerhart, Bowe,
