Well I certainly don't hate this...

Just a little background on him... he was in scouting for the Eagles, was promoted to assistant head coach, then took over as secondary coach when Spags left for the Giants. That season, both safeties in the Eagles secondary went to the pro bowl for the first time. We also know about the Panthers D and how dominant they were last year/good they were the end of this year.

I would be ok with McDermott. I think we wait for Quinn no matter how long it takes simply because if Quinn does bail then we have plenty of other options in Reich, Bowles and McDermott. Not all of them will be unavailable by then.

I really like what I'm seeing here. These guys aren't sitting on their hands and just waiting for Quinn like it's a slam dunk. They are practicing the 7P's, something this organization is always struggled with: Prior Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

I'm guessing that Marrone is definitely out now. Woody can't handle the backlash if Rex does better than Marrone in a swap.

He's an interesting candidate. Are they set on a defensive guy though?

Sounds like Atlanta is going all out for Quinn.

I don't think they are really looking at it like "this guy is a DC, this guy is an OC". I think they are just looking for the right personality to handle the head coaching responsibility that displays the attributes they are looking for when talking about how to run a team.

They should look at those things from a guy with offensive experience

I'm more impressed by McDermott's resume than Quinn's.

I don't think it matters honestly. If you have the right staff around you, it doesn't matter. See: Bill Belichick, John Fox, Chuck Pagano, and the list goes on.

Setting up options if by some chance we miss out on Quinn

Hopefully Bowles and Atlanta strike a deal so then we'd be in the clear for DQ

If Bowles goes to Chicago I could see Atlanta putting a full court press on Quinn however

Still want Woody to steal Jason Garrett...his contract is up. No tampering, no draft picks, the offensive minded coach we've been missing for 20 years. C'mon Woody, show some balls and get it done!

Jets covering their bases by bringing back Bowles for 2nd interview and expanding field to include Sean McDermott. Good business. #nyj

Who would you rather have Quinn or Bowles ?

It sounds like it will be Quinn or Bowles unless while waiting for Quinn Bowles gets another job then Quinn doesn't want the job. That would be a disaster.

I'm ok with either one...Although, currently the favorite is Dan Quinn. Bowles seems like a guy who can garner the team's respect.
