I like Rex. Wish him success but how is Buffalo different than what he had here? His safest route would be either a team with an established QB or TV. Worst case, rest 1 year and let a better opportunity surface. He is making a bad choice if you ask me. As for the Bills, they might be good for a year or 2 but then fall to the mediocrity.
I cant believe this thread is already 7 pages of whining. Rex is a fucking buffoon, and I cant wait to see the Bills hit rock bottom
Our running game this year is vastly underatted we ran for 2280 yards and finished third overall only behing Dallas and Seatlle,This team was a QB away from being a real contender. We had the num 6 defense a top 3 running game but without a QB who can limit turnovers and move the ball consistantly its to much to overcome
This is why we it was time for him to move on. Rex is hell bent on creating/recreating his earlier successes rather than build on them and change up, Revis to Buffalo for 10+ mil would be idiotic when the team played well with what they had.
We were 4-12 with him, and EVERYBODY CRUSHED US!! It cant be any worse then what Belicheck did to us 15 years ago. Rex will never come close to that
Revis ain't coming to Buffalo. We need to resign Hughes and Gilmore and Dareus' contracts are up after 2015. We don't need Revis.
No surprise here that Rex landed another job pretty quickly. The shock for me though is the location. I figured the Bills were the 4th or 5th most likely destination for him. As much as I like Rex I wonder how much of an upgrade this is for Buffalo. Its clear what their problem is. And Schwartz seems to have a pretty firm grasp on that defense. Possibility of them bumping heads? As for the offense we all know Rex loves Watkins. Other than thats its gonna be a struggle. I think we should all hope that the Bills sign Sanchez.
I bet the local Buffalo media has Positions Vacant ads for all the local media that will soon have something to do. The circus has left NY. Now is the time to get serious, with serious coaching and a serious NFL presence.
Haha, I didn't realize that there were still people who believe Idzik wasn't forcing Rex to play Geno.
Did Idzik call from Seattle and force him to play Mark Sanchez when he was throwing 4 pics a game??? This is his style, pro player don't hurt anyone's feelings.
This will be interesting. Bills fans will know how we feel with an anemic offense, a defense that constantly chokes in clutch situations, and terrible clock management and team discipline. But good luck to Rex though in all games besides the two Jets ones.
Since its not final yet I find it hard to believe he would accept a job for the Bills over a team like SF or ATL, unless he really wants revenge against us. Should make those Bills games more interesting.
