Who on the Jets defense isn't? And those who aren't have the benefit of playing in their natural position. he doesn't.
Well, ok then...a insulting response whose only redeeming quality was a lack of spelling errors. thanks.
He's a solid player asked to play out of position most of the time. When they let him rush the passer he seems to be most effective. But Rex doesnt let him do that enough.
His talent is wasted at OLB. If Wilkerson won't sign for a reasonable amount Coples and Richardson would probably be OK.
coples was another terrible pick who doesn't care one iota about being great, which is what he could have been if he had any heart. dude is going to get big money because some stupid team is going to overpay his potential and I pray it won't be our stupid team. we already over-drafted him for that and it was clearly s a mistake. one game doesn't make a career, many crap years do....
Steelers would love his defensive skill set. He's probably just poorly coached; no accountability, no discipline
He's a decent role plater, he hasn't met expectation to this point. Why no one notices when he plays well or does nothing. Not a bust but not the game changer rex envisioned.
If we were to switch to a base 4-3, how exactly would they line up? Coples-Wilkerson-Harrison-Richardson? I'm thinking Wilk, Sheldon and Coples are all better suited for the 3 tech DT or a 5 tech 3-4 DE.
maybe, but this goes past his tenure with the jets and back to college also. dude, imo just doesn't have the heart to be great. but who knows, a change of scenery to a winning franchise can do wonders for some.
While this thread is ridiculous, you're comment regarding Coples is just as ridiculous. He's far from a "total slob bust." He hasn't quite met expectations, but he's still a solid player as well as playing out of position. He'd probably be much better if he was consistently in a position where he can excel.
Ridiculous thread and people continuously talk about his "effort". I feel he's done enough. He's a good player. Cut it out.
