More likely Woodyard cost us Cooper. No way were we ever gonna be in position to draft either QB. Now? you can just about write off Cooper too.
Actually, I remember looking for tix for JETS TITANS over the years and was surprised by how high their tix prices were.. I was surprised
Pats would have rolled over next week anyway. No way they'd let us finish with a top two pick. They'd lose on purpose just to screw us. Now that we're out of the franchise QB sweepstakes, they'll embarrass us 50 to 0.
It is pathetic. The guy has been in the league for a while and is a good player. Anybody who thinks his name is Lesley or Leslie (have seen it spelled both ways here tonight) is not a NFL fan. Anybody who really believes Woodyard is the #1 reason for the Jets tonight should be banished from the forum.
I swear if we had lost that game in a Miracle City fashion, it would have been so EPIC to see the reaction and just totally acknowledge that we are the worst this year.
Fucking stupid fucking Jets can't even suck right! I am as much a Jets fan as anyone else and I prefer to lose out and improve our long term prospects rather than enjoying a fleeting win that will only help to solidify our mediocrity. It's called delayed gratification and comes with maturity.
Apologies if these facts cause any stress: Top 10 and Bottom 10 Teams in the NFL in Pass Play % Top 10 Team W L T Pass Pct 1 Oakland 2 12 0 0.6629 2 Chicago 5 8 0 0.6461 3 Tampa Bay 2 12 0 0.6394 4 Jacksonville 2 12 0 0.6313 5 Atlanta 5 9 0 0.6293 6 New Orleans 5 8 0 0.6225 7 Indianapolis 10 4 0 0.6224 8 Detroit 10 4 0 0.6221 9 Tennessee 2 12 0 0.6214 10 Buffalo 8 6 0 0.6132 Average 5.1 8.7 0 0.63106 Bottom 10 W L Pass Pct 1 Green Bay 10 4 0 0.5725 2 San Francisco 7 7 0 0.5581 3 Kansas City 8 6 0 0.5474 4 Baltimore 9 5 0 0.5462 5 Cincinnati 9 4 1 0.5325 6 Cleveland 7 7 0 0.5283 7 NY Jets 3 11 0 0.5259 8 Dallas 9 4 0 0.5098 9 Seattle 10 4 0 0.4886 10 Houston 7 7 0 0.4821 Average 7.9 5.9 0.1 0.52914 So to analyze the above information, the Jets are the ONLY losing team in the bottom 10 of pass percentage in the entire NFL, and help weight the average record of those teams down to 8-6 with a pass attempt percentage of 53%. Conversely, three of the top 10 teams in pass percentage have a winning record, weighting out to an approximate average record of 5-9 with a pass attempt percentage of 63%. Ground and pound has nothing to do with anything. The Jets record has everything to do with garbage QB play, garbage coaching, and a poor talent level. Ground and pound is actually a successful formula in the modern NFL, but the team needs a capable QB and better coaching than what the Jets represent.
People are brainwashed idiots A win is not always a win I look ahead, and I see that we fucked ourselves as per usual- this win did NOTHING to help the team now or EVER But the Titans suck worse so what can you do- not the players fault, they wanna win
As seemingly the only guy on these boards that thinks neither Winston nor Mariota is going to do a damn thing in the NFL, I'm happy we will be in fine spot to pick an offensive lineman, corner, or pass rusher this year. Then we can draft a QB next year to a more complete team with a more complete coaching staff and hopefully a more competent GM. Go Jets!
