I believe D'Brick is the real deal but he will need to get stronger for next season that is somewhat of a weakness for him. This year he will cut his teeth and develope technique. Against the bull-rushers like the Jags you just gotta slug it out. Boselli was all pro because he could do both, DBrick can be that good.
That and having a mauler next to him would be helpful. Brick hasn't exactly had consistent play next to him. Mangold especially has been on an island basically. Very impressive job by these two considering those factors as well.
D-Brick is crumbling I don't see him getting any push. Around the goal line, they never run the ball behind him. I don't ssee him getting any leverage for the running game. That doesnt' scare you? and his protection has been less then average at best.
Brick is fine. I too, have concerns with Miller, though. He doesn't tackle very well, and seems to struggle at times in coverage.
LT is a pass blocking position dude....hes pass blocking has been very good and will continue to get better....Miller on the other hand, I cannot stand....Hobson is an abortion
I agree his pass blocking has been outstanding, but I disagree it's a pass blocking position. You gotta do both, and I don't know if he'll ever be a good run blocker as he is currently constituted. He has a tight ends body. He needs to hit the mess hall and load up on the trans-fats.
when they were walking off the field, i couldnt believe how athletic looking brick was, i never realized...he looked down right skinny for a lineman...anyways, i think he is a keeper...as for miller, the guy needs to work on his tackling, but remember he is young
Ok, Justin Miller is electric when it comes to KO returns, we need him for that. He makes some nice plays at corner, while he also makes some bonehead plays. Ok, get off Bartons back, he is the LEADING tackler on the team, so he's off limits. Ok, so our NT is a weak link, DRob has looked better the past 2 games, hes a work in progress Ok, so Hobson sometimes has a great game, or you dont realize he is there, one thing for sure he doesnt give up big plays, if he has a guy he takes him down. Ok, your D'brick comment has no truth at all, he has done a very solid job and is the second best on the line behind Mangold. Brick looked like he would be tossed around like a rag doll against Freeney but after the first 2 series he stepped it up and matched him extreamly well throughout the game. ok, ok, ok im sick of hearing how "bad" this team is, last week everybody said we were contenders in the playoffs because we played the colts good. THIS IS A TEAM IN PROGRESS which will become a very solid, UNIFIED group, it may not be this year but next year and beyond they will be good, they are learning and doing a fine job and I still think this is a 9-7 possibly 10-6 team.
Brick is only 1 of 2 roookies starting at LT which should tell you alot about how hard of a position it is for young guys to play.
Brick has been good more than he has been bad, and already looks better than other starting LTs in the NFL.....so calm down, he needs to get bterr run blocking, but so does the whole line.....ya we got pounded, that doesn't mean he's bad. As for Miller...you want to cut him eh? Forgetting the kickoff he returned for a TD last week? Get your head together man...would you be saying this if we lost 24-21? A loss is a loss.
