I would trade all four of our prior number 1 picks (Coples, Wilson, Millner, and Pryor) for some decent talent. But hey, we got "the steal of the draft" last year according to Rex Ryan in Dexter McDougle.
I would like to see Simms get a shot these last 3 games, but I want us to lose out for the higher pick too. Darn it.
So not only do you want us to blow our high draft pick on a shaky QB, but you want to blow our whole draft by trading up for one?
Why, if fuckin Idzik isn't fired he will use it on a kicker or punt returner or just another bust like he always does.
I keep worrying about Tampa Bay. If the Glazer get Mariota. That basically means he Is in the same boat as Man United. That's fing disgusting!
Gotta love us wanting to lose out for a higher pick....with our luck the guy we take would stink....while the other goes onto beeing a franchise QB have we ever...ever developed a QB lol since Namath....we should trade down grab an extra 2 and draft OL WR OL sign a serviceable vet QB and CB
I see this from so many posters here: why draft high since our picks stink, etc etc. With that mindset, why even be a fan? Yeah, our draft record with top 10 picks has been miserable in the past, but that doesn't mean it will be miserable in the future, and you can't win if you don't play. When was the last time anyone won a Superbowl with a serviceable vet QB? Ravens in 2000 and and Bucs in 2002 (12 years ago or more), and both of those teams had all-time great defenses. With all the changes favoring offenses since then, it's even harder now. Look at the Chiefs, they got a great defense and a really good game manager type QB, and they can't do shit in the playoffs.
The point is valid against fans rooting to lose which is the dumbest thing ever...yet those are true fans lol come on
We play and hope to win sure when the draft comes along we worry about it then... is the point... rooting to lose man oh man
I'm not sure that we beat the Titans next week. It doesn't get any worse than getting slaughtered by a bunch of homeless men in Detroit or losing to the Vikings...a team we haven't lost to since 1975 when they were flirting with a perfect season until late.
What do you think Oregon has? A bunch of chumps? They both have work to improve on, but I would bet Winston has teh better pro career
oregon has much better players around their QB than Florida State does. I bet Winston has the better pro career as well
Tampa could beat CAR or NO. Tampa nearly beat NO in the dome earlier in the year. And NO looked pathetic yesterday -- got their doors blown off by CAR -- while the Bucs had a very respectable showing vs the #1 scoring defense in the NFL (Lions).
