Looks like RG3 is done with the skins.. If we can't land Mariota should we look to roll the dice on RG3?
How many posts do we need about this guy? He's only had 1 good season, he's injury prone, and now he throws his teammates under the bus after losses. Skins are going with a pocket passer over a mobile QB. Its happening all over the league where this fade is quickly dying out. These guys arent Vick circa 2002. Look at how horrible Kaepernick's been this year, and many have said he's a top QB in the league. Goes to show that these guys can only go so far in the NFL and RG3 has reached his limit. As dumb as it would be to pick Winston or Mariota it would be 10 times dumber to trade for or sign RG3.
Absolutely not. He's got a 10 cent head, can't read defenses now and folks are speculating he'll never be able to. That's the biggest issue with Geno. You can have all the arm in the world, athleticism, running ability, but if you don't have a football IQ, none of that matters. Plus he sounds like too much of a diva, splitting the lockerroom. _
For the right price but I'd also want to draft a QB. It would be nice to have RGIII and Mariota. Let the rookie learn on the bench until he's ready - even if that means for a few years. He was really good his rookie year prior to his injury. Maybe we can catch lightning in a bottle and get that back.
This team needs a new head coach, who will select a competent offensive staff , who in turn will develop the team and its future offensive picks / trades around a top QB pick. Why do we need to play the merry-go-round game of picking someone's junk up? He can't read defenses, he runs (and gets hurt); it is obvious that after 2 injuries (missing a year and this year), he isn't going to be a long term career QB. And after his most recent presser, he does not seem like the person I would want leading the team.
I'm not sure that RG3 is finished. But if you trade for him and get him cheap you're committing yourself to a guy coming off of a couple of fair to poor seasons. I wouldn't draft a Qb if they get him. I'd try to build him a better O-line. Plus what we hear is that he's not well loved by his teammates. He does come off as kind of a me first player. I would have no problem with it. My only proviso: if he stinks get rid of him. Don't lose for a few years because you think he might be good.
The only thing positive I'll say about him is he will be cheap, and hungry to reprove himself...... The problem is I am not sure his skill set translates well into the NFL...... He's also been worthless sense he got hurt......
He just gets hit too much. I don't know what the deal is with him in Washington and maybe that's just a bad situation, but I do know he gets hit too much. If Mariota's out of reach I wouldn't hate it. Nothing wrong with going low floor-high ceiling where we are. Compare us to the Browns. This isn't a roster that's going somewhere with Brian Hoyer.
No stone should be left unturned. We don't have a QB, if a situation should arise where we cant get who we want in the draft, then taking a shot on a guy like RGIII is not a terrible alternative.
The kid has never made it through an entire season. He runs, he gets hit. Our offensive line is shit. There is zero chance griffin the third could survive under center of the New York Jets
