Amazing. What a disaster this turned into in Washington. Meanwhile Andrew Luck is drinking a Margarita smiling :)

Jason Reid of the Washington Post noted on Wednesday that any efforts by the Redskins to maintain Griffin was still a part of their plans were simply to maintain the signal caller's trade value.

    Reid continued:

"It’s highly unlikely the struggling quarterback will return next season, people within the organization say. Gruden convinced owner Daniel Snyder and team President and General Manager Bruce Allen, Griffin’s biggest supporters at Redskins Park, that change was necessary. Although Griffin was coming off consecutive inept performances and had not led Washington to a victory in more than a year, don’t underestimate what Gruden accomplished in getting Snyder and Allen on his side.

Snyder and Allen were united in the belief that Griffin could turn back the clock to 2012. They hired Gruden to help make it happen, figuring it wasn’t lack of ability that derailed Griffin last season; it was Mike and Kyle Shanahan. In the past couple of weeks, though, Snyder and Allen began to see the same glaring shortcomings Gruden had noticed since the preseason, team officials say. The tape doesn’t have an agenda.

Griffin’s approach off the field was part of his undoing. Whether or not it was fair, there was a feeling among some at Redskins Park that Griffin should have spent less time in the weight room and more on honing other parts of his game. Then there was all the hoopla that went into fueling Griffin’s RGIII persona."

His value plus the value of Kirk Cousins is at a low. Before they both had good value. Jay Gruden obviously can't stand the guy.

I'd love to have RG3 in green and white. Easily the most talented QB we'd have in the last 40 years. Plus, then we could go mainly o-line and secondary in the draft.

I love the job that Jay Gruden is doing there.

Breaking up the love fest that RG3 and Synder have is huge. It also kinda bums me out cause if Rex goes Id love to have Gruden here.

It seems like he understands that QB's like RG3 never actually learned the QB position. He just has a strong arm with some elusiveness so it was easy for him to be successful up until the point where defenses learned how to shut him down.

I think if RG3 can learn how to just be a dropback passer he could be successful. It would cut down on the injury risk a ton. But considering he's been playing the position the same way his whole life I doubt thats a possibility.

Looks destined to bounce around the league for a few years until the injuries are too much to earn a contract.

Boggles my mind how people continue to rank these type of QB's so high in the draft. Guess it makes sense since you dont have to pay em as much as you used to , but unless they are coming into a great situation (Wilson, Kap) they are destined to turn out like RG3.

RGIII on the Jets would be perfect.

He'd have lots of people to blame after losses.

We should sign him. Dee Milliner can give him some tips on staying healthy.
