My uncle actually used to work in the Hess building in Woodbridge for our old owner. Can you guess what my christmas present from his was every year for the 1st 12 years of my life? I seriously wished I had held onto those dam trucks, I bet they'd be worth some cash.
The last Hess Truck EVER I believe comes out this winter. Me and my father have been collecting them since the 1986 when I was born. Mangold is fucking awesome!
Wow, I will have to get one. Do they sell them online or do I need to go to s tore and buy one? The end of an era
You can purchase them online also: https://hesstoytruck.com/ It really is the End of an Era ... Christmas won't be the same without those damn Hess Truck commercials lol
I just looked at the site, 29.99 isn't bad if it really is the end of the Hess Trucks. I had so many too but like many of my Star Wars guys they went to Arthur Kill
lol, awesome commercial. looked like it was fun to shoot. Mangold has a great personality for TV once his playing days are done..
I know Hess is selling off its retail division and will continue as a refiner and wholesaler only; a local station was just sold to Marathon. Has there been an official announcement that the truck sales will also end? I also see there is a collector's set of two other trucks available online as well as the current one and some posters.
Commercial had me laughing pretty good when I saw it last weekend, the truck scene has a little extra editing though, haha. Good stuff.
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/05/23/hess-toy-trucks-are-leaving-station/ http://www.nbcnews.com/business/energy/hess-stations-be-renamed-toy-trucks-roll-n112256 It appears they will still sell the Trucks in the future (I was incorrect), but it won't be the same Hess we all know. It will be under Marathon Petroleum Speedways. The value of the Hess Trucks after this year will take a huge dip.
