Can't help but feel like Cromartie has been making plays week after week for Arizona in their 8-1 start and it makes me think about what a bad move it was to let him go, thought it was at the time, and still think it was a bad move. Just a nice little negative thought to rain down on our 2nd victory of the season.

I probably could have run that fumble back for a TD. It bounced right to him.

By the time this team is ready to be an actual contender with consistency, his kids will be in High School, so I guess it isn't the worst thing ever.

(I'm trying to get over him being gone.)

He's also playing in a stacked secondary in Arizona.

Playing with Peterson and Matheiu is a little different then playing with what we have and needing to be the guy.

We saw how bad Cro was the last 2 seasons going up against number 1 WRs instead of what he goes up against now.

There is a such thing as good situations for players. He's in one right now. Wouldn't be in one here.

Yeah, not near as bad as the 2014 Jets secondary. Good for Cro though.

Well before yesterday the Jets secondary was on pace to set the record for passing TDs against in a season.

Id imagine Cro would be an upgrade from Walls and Williams but its unfair to say he could just do here what he's been doing in Arizona.

And like a previous poster said the TD yesterday was on a ball that bounced right to him, not like he had to do much there.

Cro was injured last year, and he was very good the year before. His injuries were not chronic. Arians has a great system going in AZ, he saw that Cro would be a good pickup for him, and he was right. The Jets meanwhile have downgraded Cb with no real replacement for Cro. It was a stupid move that failed.

Cro was an appropriate cap casualty based on his high salary, declining play and constant shirt grabbing. I recall reading something that said we tried to resign him for $3million which is what he got in AZ.

This just in- NFL stats can be funny.

I have watched all Cardinals games. The Cardinals do not have a bad secondary.

The Jets sure do stop the run. They are 2-8.

Source please. We tracked this very closely at the beginning of the off season, and never saw any evidence that the FO had tried to bring him back, before or after he was cut.

Why do defenders of the FO have to go to such lengths? Is it because the facts are insufficient to defend the FO? That's my take on it.

I covered this last week. Jersey Jets cherry picked that stat, which was yards per game. By all other relevant measures, including ypa, interceptions, opponent qb rating, win-lost, and the fact that their run D is ranked third, the secondary is often in a variant of prevent due to being ahead in the game, the Arizona pass D averages out to about tenth in the league. Conservatively.

You can have the worst pass defense in the NFL and still win...See the Pats from a couple of years ago.

All you need to do is create turnovers...All the yards one throws on you means little if you can generate 2 turnovers a game from the secondary
